How heavy is the maths? Is it recommended to do 4 unit?

assumed knowledge is 2u maths ...
recommended is 3u .... if u havent done 3u maths, it might be a good idea to do a bridging course in summer

the UAI for civil engineer is low bcause?

they need more ppl in it?
or they don need more ppl?

cos i thought low UAI courses mean the demand for this work is low...
and if its high, the demand is high...
I believe the uai req for civil is low cos not much candidature demand for the course.

Also they cut places for software engineering, so it would have been lower if they kept the quota the same as the previous year.

its annoying for us ppl who actually work hard to get a high uai, expecting th course to be in demand ... and in the end, it drops like never before ... meh!

I think civil/structural engineers...

Becuase they have to deal with tensions, forces and all that crap!

My friends brother does civil and he just got a portfolio full of maths questions...

Pretty tricky stuff :(

It doesn't matter if there are alot of civil out there or not

The course UAI is affected by demand

Nearly most i said nearly most, engineering and science courses have lower UAI's compared to other courses, because it is COMPLEXED, ESPECIALLY CIVIL ewwww, if you didnt get over at least 80 for 3unit maths, i REALLY dont recommend it

if you did maybe, thats the same as Acturial studies i guess?

But CIVIL IS HARD

i'm worried that when if i do do this course and become a civil engineer i will not get a job..
because the uai is so low, i assumed that there must be alot of them..
