Re: The Football Thread : 2005-06

Cup action in Germany was interesting. Third division St Pauli beat Bremen 3-1 in atrocious snowy conditions. Players were slipping and sliding everywhere, I saw the highlights on SBS2 earlier. St Pauli also beat Hertha brfore this round.

It seems the transfer period is gonna slip away without anything else interesting happen. Such a letdown :(

We have been linked with Swiss international Johann Vogel, who has only played 3 times for AC Milan since moving from PSV Eindhoven.

Ajax have sold Dutch international for a mere 700,000 pds to Hamburg. What a bargain (albeit his contract expires at the end of the season)

Re: The Football Thread : 2005-06

i can't beleive none of you have mentioned it already???
Barca not winning!! or rather losing for the first time since september against atletico (fuck has their season gone downhill since then)

they lost the first leg of juan carlos' cup 4-2 in zaragoza. they were dominqnt until a mad period in the first half where zaragoza, through barzilian ewerton (he may just squeeze into the w.c squad) and garbiel malito's(you 'pool fans may remember him as a summer target for the reds) brother diego milito got 3 goals in three minutes and were all of a suddebn 3-0 up. larsson pulled one back, then ronnie with a penalty. then in the 93 minute, cunt-elejo (our cock sniff referee from sydney qualifier) gave a penalty agansit rafa marquez for hand ball. 4-2

great stuff

not to mention the two second leg games yesterday. fucking that deport valencia game was as good a the first leg- until some cunt trhough somehing at the juez de linea and the game was abandoned

peace

I still don't understand the Fowler-love though at all.... would it be comparable to Ole love that us Mancs share or what? I missed the boat on it.

It would far, far exceed the Ole love for United fans Ryddecker. I'd say Reds worship Robbie as much as Madrid fans worship Raul.

Fowler back at Anfield? Now THATS what I call transfer action! Couldna3 see that one coming. I wish I could be at Anfield for tha nect match, itd be awesomne.

Now I gotta go and standing in 45 degree heat for six hours and try and catch a little red ball as it comes my way. Our cricket teams great fun tho, all the boys from football play, and most of them are Reds supporters, so Theyll be pumped that Robbie is back home.
