Nice read.

This particular case caught my attention:

STUDENT 1 (Division of Linguistics and Psychology)

The student was

1. Guilty of forging signature of an academic on a waiver form.
2. Excluded from enrolment for second half year 2007.
3. Probation for remainder of enrolment.
4. Eligible to re-enrol in 2008 provided he undertook counselling on his return.
How the hell did he/she think they were not going to get caught?

It goes on academic records too, doesn't it? That would be the worst thing, because it would basically make it worthless :/

Already given Fail (0) for unit.
To undertake 50 hours of community service.

Then he should make it a priority to move out of the pathetic excuse of society and join the rest of us in civilisation.

When they decide to do one of these for staff, I hope they'll call me up to provide evidence.

What's good for the goose...

errr .. and how does community service help with cheating in exams? a fail is enough that's $600+ down the drain is plenty.
Its just introducing them to the life of a small-time criminal yo.

The two law ones where they were found cheating on a take-home, I know which lecturer dobbed at least one of the groups in. The lecturer found them in the library of all places doing the exam together. The convenor walked up behind them and snap! Totally busted! The lecturer told us all about it the next year as a threat to not conspire for the take-home exam. It worked

Whats with the post-grad student who plagarised their thesis? The first one, right down the bottom of the page. Surely if they were found 'guilty' of plagarism at undergrad level, then they shouldn't have been accepted to post-grad?!
