The goverment fund society, to benefit society. If 20% of all Australians attend church, and they pay taxes, who are you to say they Churches shouldnt get funded?

im going to uni next year, and im working this year.

I'm working for this year, meaning I'm going to be paying taxes. I woun't be paying much tax relative to other people (still too much), but this just means that other ppl are over-taxed


when im at uni ill have a part time job which will get taxed. Now, this won't be much, but if government funded only what (I believed) it should fund, then this tax would be more than enough.

Roads could be fully privatized, built and maintained by private companies without government intervention. Many roads in the country are privatized already.

And there are so many that it is ridiculous. And what about people who do not follow a religion, do their no religious belief systems get funded too? We shouldn't be doing any of this.

Well the people who have no belief systems have a sports club that is goverment funded.

If it is not recognised belief system, then it is not a beleif system. Jedisim should not be recognised, no? That arguement argues that the goverment cannnot make "good" decisions and dosent really deal with the issue. We can make this judgement of which belief system is offical and legist, fair via committes and etc. Thats no reason to stop funding of all religious insitutions all together.

But then again, this is a democracy. Public opinion justifies everything. Sweet liberty has costs.
