Firstly, your missing my point. I believe as strongly, perhaps stronger, that education is neccessary for the thriving of society. However, others may view not so, and yet they still do pay taxes.
because they get fucking kidnapped at gunpoint and thrown in jail if they don't

Secondly, you stated your against taxpayers funding happiness without return/ just generally. Do realise, Church goers pay taxes as well.
Going to their publicly funded church does not give them the ability to pay taxes. Their jobs do.

And the funding to Churches is significantly less then those given to other priorities of country. Using statistics, as I already argued above, it is imporportional, the amount a Church recieves, and the amounts its people pay tax.
yeah so? That just means that these other institutions are getting paid too much (getting paid anything from the taxpayer is too much imo but whatever), not that churches don't receive enough

Thirdly, HAPPINES, even for people that are not TAXPAYER, (ironically, sounds like many uni sutdents i know, hmm) are important for society.
Forcing people to provide things that make other people is immoral

Where does it end? what if I say I need a new car to be happy? is it right for the government to spend taxpayer dollars on making me happy?

It encourages growth.
What in the fuck does that even mean

Consider it logically then? Social setting encourages social interaction, leading to cultural diversity.

yes, because bible-bashers are typically champions of diversity and open-mindedness >_>

Social interaction instagates activity, leading to happiness? Happiness is vital for society?
1. You don't need a church, and a pubicly funded one at that, for social integration.

2. It's not the governments job to ensure the happiness of the people

go fund your own fucking shit. fuck your church, like i give a flying fuck about your happiness. Its a dog eat dog world and your too stupid because you live in some christian utopia where god loves his children etc etc. honestly, wtf hapnd to NCAP.
Lets see you say that when you get hit by a bus and have to go to hospital. If you wanna save your own life or those of your friends and family, you can pay for it.

The world doesn't work like that mate, its part of living in a society. Either contribute to the welfare of everyone or stop leeching and go do your own thing somewhere else.

Well I disagree with you but at least you stand by your principles I guess.

Not everyone is as fortunate as yourself though, there are people who do need a helping hand.

It is not a belief. SCIENCE has shown that religion is vital for humanity.
lol

You are a joke mate.

Do not post ever again until you can provide a referenced peer reviewed article from a mainstream scientific journal showing that religion, and religion alone, is vital for humanity.

Yes but these things can be offered separately from any belief system. You see the problem is that if we truly want to be secular we can't fund any belief and ritual system because that means we are giving them preference. Therefore, we either fund every single belief system, or none. And it is easy to provide the services that some of these things provide without funding their particular belief system. In a secular society the state can't be on the side of any particular religion or belief, so its all or none. In the mean time, it is possible to provide these services separately.

my parents are fucking rich. If i got hit by a fucking bus ill probably be laying in some private fucking hospital being operated by the best docs. Fuck if i care about your welfare. You are scum to me. Man is naturally inclined to care for himslef first and foremost before any other being. This is the very nature of man. My welfare comes before yours. My life is more important than yours. This is the primitive nature of man kind and if you cannot fucking realize this then you are a down syndrome stupid cunt.

I am truly sick of this crap. I know the church dont provide a living. But the roads build on taxpayer dollar dont provide a living as well, they allow transportation. And dont give me that shit about road allowing people to make money by transporting them to their jobs. THats not my point.

The goverment fund society, to benefit society. If 20% of all Australians attend church, and they pay taxes, who are you to say they Churches shouldnt get funded?

The irony of it all is this, being in uni, I do assume that you pay very little taxes, or even any at all.

FFS dude people in the government are just that, they pay tax as well.

Its part of doing your bit to help others. May seem like a total rip off if your living the high life, but when sh!t hits the fan in your life, you're going to have to rely on the support of others yourself.

And taxation is hardly theft, its the redistribution of weath to those more deserving and needing of it. The act of giving is the greatest gift itself.

Its not like taxation is actually hurting you anyway, you still have enough to live yourself, and if you don't then it's you who is recieving money from the government. You can't leave others behiend mate.

This is why:

Good services can be offered separately from any belief system. You see the problem is that if we truly want to be secular we can't fund any belief and ritual system because that means we are giving them preference. Therefore, we either fund every single belief system, or none. And it is easy to provide the services that some of these things provide without funding their particular belief system. But we do find all the belief systems. Islam gets funding. Buddism gets funding. Recognised belief systems do get funding. They are not funded for their ability to save people from eternal dammanation I assure you. But on grounds of social interaction and activity.

EDIT: If it is the preference that your worried about. I can understand that. Going by democracy and statistics, the Church should be funded the most lol. However, seriously the belief systems are all funded equally. Well porportional to public outcry at least.
