Does anyone agree that the Preliminary Exams are much more difficult?

Its not about the quantity, but also the quality of the papers..
Even you have really studied hard, still doesnt mean you will get a good mark.

Especially in my case, im not as intelligence as the other ppl.. i always hv to spend much more time in study than others. But when the results come out it always unexpectedly lower than the others...How pathetic..

So upset.

It's because your school pays companies to write your exams. These companies just slab in parts of the syllabus, even bits that you have not covered.

51% for Advanced English (58% Yearly class mark), sadly they're making me drop down to Standard. I wasn't as cut as the half yearly class report where I got 44%, because I aimed to pass Advanced English for Year 11. Plus I don't have to worry too much about essays and stuff.

72% for IPT, did that with almost no study too.

66% for General Maths, apparently I got =2 in my class.

That's all I know so far.

the teachers should really stop spoonfeeding us. it's cramping any possible style we may have, then it makes us dependent on them for every single thing.

ew. vicious cycle.

that said, it's only prelim and should a learning curve. autodidacticism ftw.

Mine are on at the moment.

Nearly done thank god.

Week 8: English Advanced, Mathematics, 2U Studies of Religion, Music Performance
Week 9: Mathematics Extension, Chemistry, Musicology, English Extension.

How long did everyone's 2 Unit Religion exam go for?

Ours was 3 hours. 3 hours too long in my opinion, but anyway. :)

I hate the pressure of exams- it doesnt tell you whos the smartest or who has the best ideas, just who cand handle the few hours youve got in there the best.

Had english today, fail... Half yearly I got 20/45 (highest 32, Im in Advanced and was 19th in year for that result...), Im betting not much better (but slightly) this time... All other subjects 90%+ for half yearly, and aiming for the same (cept maybe economics, high 80s would be nice.)
