Re: Does anyone agree that the Preliminary Exams are much more difficult?

It all depends on your school; if they make their own or they buy them. I found my 3u maths exam alot easier than the tests we did earlier on the year.

Had 2U math today.
The questions were easier than I expected them to be, especially for trig. But I probably made many careless mistakes.
There was one question on Pythagorean identities that I couldn't work out, even after many attempts.
I would post it, if I had remembered the question...

Tomorrow = Business.
I have no clue what the extended response question may be based on. Anyone have any ideas?

I had general today as well, it's going to be my worst result overall for all exams I think - probably won't get more than 75%. At least ancient history, I.T. and english have been shit easy.

I really hate it when teachers are too lazy to pick a good exam. Our physics half-yearly was just ripped straight out of a textbook, it was essentially 3hrs of content with 1.5hrs to finish it. (I topped the class easily :D )

My school gets those Independent Trial Exams or whatever they're called for some subjects like Legal Studies. They're not as high-quality as the BOS-produced stuff, but then again they don't have the same levels of review and consultation. They're fairly OK.

MOr ehcmeistry questions please..

ALSO ANYONE WHO DID THE PHYSICS EXAM I THINK THEIR WAS A MISTAKE. IT SAID THE EXAM WAS OUT OF 100 AND EXTENDED RESPONSE WAS WORTH 75 MARKS, BUT THEIR WERE ONLY 15 MULTIPLE CHOICE. I THINK IT WAS OUT OF 90 NOT 100.

CAN ANYOE CONFIRM THIS

IM TALKING ABOUT THE ONE WITH THE SNEELS LAW THING WORTH 5 MARKS AND THE ONE WERE THE LAST QUESTION WAS A HR DIAGRAM TALKING ABOUT STARS.

I did English and Modern History on Monday... Hopefully got 80+ in both.
Did Math General today, which I think I got around 90 for.
Ancient History also today, I'll be happy with 72-73.

So i'm quite happy thus far.

Religion and PDHPE were hard. :(

But I felt I went smooth in my music practical piece.
Exams have suddenly become psycho! :cold: Not looking forward to getting marks back.

Still have maths, extension maths, chemistry and music aural left.

Its not about the quantity, but also the quality of the papers..
Even you have really studied hard, still doesnt mean you will get a good mark.

Especially in my case, im not as intelligence as the other ppl.. i always hv to spend much more time in study than others. But when the results come out it always unexpectedly lower than the others...How pathetic..

So upset.
YES!!! OH, YES! This thread has the most valid information ever put forward. I have the same problem as you. Many of the naturally intelligent ones do little study goes into exams and says they are easy and I struggle my way through them. :( How unfair?!

I did: English, Maths (general), Visual Art, Hospitality practical and theory, and have Modern History and Business Studies to go, for the next two consecutive days.

Well, I dunno, but I got bored in the tests. Hospitality practical made me angry, cause I was put next to something disgusting. But, whatever, can't do jack about it.
I have a feeling Modern will be three essays, two unstructured and one structured. Hate essays...
Business. Eh. Its kind of hard to learn in class, cause my class is so noisy, and barely anyone listens to the teacher, but suppose in a way, its an advantage. P:

Average 2u Subject - 300 hours studied. The actual exam is 3 hours. 1% needed xD.
