Is there a certain type person in medicine at uni?

What are the people like?

or are there all types?

considering the type of people i know wanting to do med i would guess conservative???

depends which uni
certain selection is bias to different ppl..but there usualli is a mix..

most are intelligent hopefulli

no mostly anecdotal from med students.. nothin public..
in my yr its 1:2 (boys:girls)

A lot of them are heavy drinkers.

But that's no different to any other faculty.

yep ratio same 1 guy to 2 girls...alcohol drinking...well nothing changes really
anyhows velox if ur in it for the ladies go do nursing or arts!

Haha yeah, interns earn less per hour than the janitor. A lot less.

Also, you can't use me as an example because I'm not a normal guy.

In my year at UNSW there are more guys than girls doing med, but it varies in the older years. I think the interview makes for a really nice mix of ppl- and having 40 devoted international places and 50 rural places as well as the bonded places adds to the diversity as well.

UWA doesn't have so much diversity. Most of them are from WA (either Perth or rural) and the rest are international (Malaysia, Singapore). I haven't met five people from Sydney (maybe five, but not more).

i think i know more than you in that area, since both my sisters are residents. Im just messing around. Im not that stupid

haha nar in all seriousness, it doesnt mean anything...theres no good or bad unis (cept for bond of course)- there are only good or bad students.

anyhows some interesting facts for you both (well you might understand it NEXT year Robert )
