2022 q16 was easier than this years q16 which i couldnt do so idk (for me at least), i also got a higher raw on 2022 than this one ngl and 1 of my friends thought the same

but also im better at topics like complex and integration than vectors and proofs so that might be why i found 22 q16 easier than this year

It’s a bit sad the examination committee is not comming up with unique questions for the flagship exam of the HSC. The ones I’ve seen copied word for word are 1. 2022 Q15 c from Cambridge (Q22 on page 55). 2. 2023 Q 16a from mastering HSC maths (Q21 p 65 and P1 p66. Part b from a trial exam. 3. 2024 Q16c from Patel and 4. 2025 Q16a from Terry Lee. The only paper that was entirely unique was 2021.

I absolutely adored 2021 and 2023 and was praying for something like those, glad to see someone has the same taste as me!! (I feel like they favoured critical thinking over rote learning, but maybe I'm biased because I did comparatively well in those...)

Even if u don't have critical thinking skills to do most of 14 15 16, it still would've benefited you as alignment would've been much better.

however a test like 2025 only benefits mass tutoring centre students, due to the unoriginal nature of the questions.

I think 2022 was one of the better aligning ones as well? idk, I'm speaking as someone who aimed to get like 50% of q16 on a regular basis. but maybe the better alignment is because it was less favourable to rote learning, which is a characteristic of the majority of the cohort - just my take.

I think the hsc now in general is just going downhill. ext 2 math is turning to rote learning. english advanced is just memorisation. most humanities are just memorising. even at that with humanities people just now copy state rank essays or whatever else provided by the tutoring facilities. I think NESA needs to actually do something to revamp the system but ive got no idea how. anyways just glad its not my problem anymore.

NSW Science syllabuses (physics, chem and bio) are a global embarrassment

Why are we forced to learn about aboriginal bs in chemistry and biology and aboriginal rock paintings... Why the fuck in the physics exam are we asked to answer like 15% worth of questions that are like "How did this scientist improve the lives of society" I thought they got rid of all this bs...

It's crazy how math advanced asked novel questions, yet they couldn't think of any questions for extension 2 besides copying from trial papers , vce papers and textbooks.

Basically the whole paper is copy pasted. Wasted 50% of my study time on trials and past hsc q16

I thought this paper was around 2024 difficulty so around 71 = E4 imo (2024 was like that)
