I can't see anything being achieved as a result of this experiment. So we might find out the nature of the energy which makes up a bit of matter. Does that make it any more useful? Not really.

Matter = Energy = Matter (they'll probably conclude what we already know)

That money could have been better used feeding starving people.

(If I'm proven wrong, and something significant and awesome comes from this I'll feel like a major ass. But I'm willing to bet nothing of value will come of it.)

To everyone saying 'Wow we aren't dead, told you', from what I read, all the theories had nothing to do with what took place today. Most of the theories (all of what I have read, for that matter) deal with the collision process which doesn't take place till next month. So nehh. I don't personally believe it, just letting you know

Btw, if it was to be true, all of us 08ers wouldn't get to do our English paper 2, how depressing.
