You just thirty seconds ago said climate change was dwarfed by more significant environmental issues, that was what I was commenting on hence the bold highlighting of that part of you post you imbecile.
yes climate change is huge however in terms of giving a fuck about humanity the other issues I listed, though some are heavily linked with climate change, are much more pressing and immediate problems
If you want to slow down climate change than change your consumption habits, (I know I have) don't put some arbitrary tax on the people of this nation that will do nothing and will only cause illogical pain
Education is key
for instance you can't tax petrol and than magically have people subscribe to a greener alternative it just doesn't work, need face reality brah
something like petrol has practically inelastic demand, I know people that give up EATING FIRST, so they can fill up their cars to go to work. They sat there and made the decision to buy petrol instead of getting rid of their hunger lol. opportunity cost is a bitch
in short the future is bleak unless society changes their habits
arbitrary taxation is not a good method of achieving this
Education and the market will be the determinants
And once again if the government was actually serious and not a bunch of wealth redistributing socialists they would have done something practical by now
