hey ppl!

how do u integrate:

1/ (e^x + e^-x) :confused:

ie. (qu 9 in cambridge pg. 175 further ex 5)

NO. Don't forget also e^2x = e^x . e^x

could you please explain to me, what did you just do there??? how did you get rid of the e^x in the numerator

you probably missed the d(e^x) part after it.

another way of doing that just by substitution where u=e^x, du=e^x dx

sub that in and you get S dx/(1+u^2) which is the tan^-1 standard integral
