It came in the mail today - it's a CD-ROM virtual tour of the campus and a little book with testimonials in it. Wollongong sure know their marketing!!! I wasn't going to put UOW down as a top 5 preference, but now I think I might!!!

Maybe it's cos I went to that Role Model Breakfast thingy? Did anyone else get one of these packages??

I hate uniadvice. I'm not a big fan. They'll do anything to get you to come to Wollongong. Does Santa work for them? He'd fit in well.

Yeah, I was inundated with it last year.

I fail to see the difference between email spam and snail mail spam. They both annoy. :S

Uniadvice use u like nothing else. For example, take a look at the international prospectus for 2004. Or access the International Students website for prospective students. Fucking fuckhead fuckfaces. Sorry, angry.

Im sure i'll know some people talking at those info nights, i used to work at uniadvice, and i've got a few mates who still do. Theyre good blokes, they just ride that train for the cash. But i wouldnt do it. Not now anyways.

How to sell UOW to international students: "Look at the water features! You don't have water where you come from!"

You have to remember that every student is worth at minimum about $16,000 and at maximum about $55,000 ish over their 4-5 year degree. So it makes sense to recruit. Even if they can only hold onto a student for a year they still get $4,000 - $11,000 for it.

nah, there are heaps of international students cause of the UOW college
Also because UoW isn't very harsh on their English requirements for International Students from a country with a LOTE primary language.
