nah, wollongong is much more widely known than CSU.

and it is ranked higher on the good uni's guide

that is not to say CSU is bad, what course does CSU have that wollongong doesn't?

kimmi r why insult a uni, that you never been to? CSU Wagga is not a great uni. uow beats it hands down, and i live near CSU wagga, its my local uni, so i can say that. I've seen both campuses and their surrounding areas. wagga is a hole, no social life, no accessibility to resources or anything.....must i continue. also the price is cheap because you are in the middle of nowhere, and no-one wants to go to a uni that isn't even in the nearest city (which has no night life by the way). accommdation, umm it doesn't even deserve a comment... Also reputation wise, UOW is better than CSU Wagga. Wagga Wagga is CSU's worst campus.

why do u have to take into account the range of courses a uni offers when choosing to study their? it's not like you do all their courses, just the one you want to study.

UoW is going in my preferences as number 5, so i guess the package helped a little!!!

and csu has courses in-horticultur, social work, pharmacy, human movement, tourisim management, vetanary science,physiotherapy and a larger variety of creative arts to mention a few that are not at uow.

1) You get ''shit'' thrown at you from left right and centre because everything you have said so far has been pointed out as flawed.

2) Yes I am ''bias'' but direct me to one point in time where I have criticised you in an unreasonable manner please.

3) Like I said before, having a vast spectrum of courses is a heavy detriment as no specialisation occurs. No one in the world can be a jack of all trades.

4) Tell me one thing you have said which is slightly correct and I'll say sorry.

no i didnt say i had only read about uow i said i hadent even heard of it till i got the uac guide and then got as much info as possible on it.

and how do you know if its incorrect to say csu isnt better in terms of many things? u dont go there. i know ppl at both unis and am just going off what they have said .

and when i was talking about accomodation i ment that csu's was better because it is all on the actual campus wereas uow undergraduate accomodation is all about 40min walk from the campus.

please tell me where i can find info on the human movement course if there is one because there is no mention of it in the uac guide, the uni website, or by info line i would love to do that course if they have it but as i said-nothing been seen on it.

and yeah the Gundi campu is 40min walk from the uni and ppl at campus east infomation line said east campus is approx same walking distance. and santa slayer, the person on the phone line was a student of uow and said he knew from personal experience (as is said in the accommodtion booklet) that it takes between 35-40 mins to walk from those campuses to the uni. and why would i care how many things you have to dismiss thats your problem.

i don't know if there are human movement courses

i just know a human movement lab exists...

A friend of mine from Japan said that the UoW people at kendo weren't very good at it. She advised me not to join. She did kendo in high school back in Japan.[/deleted] (strongbad references ahoy)


People stop bitching about which uni is better. Honestly, they are both a means to an end. You go to either one, you get a piece of paper. In an ideal world you'd like to think one piece of paper is the same as another uni's equivalent. That's not the case sometimes. Some places (in regional and rural NSW) prefer a CSU degree (piece of paper) to any other. It keeps country jobs for country people. Places around here tend to prefer otherwise. But in the end, if you're better suited to the job, and are good at bullshitting interviews, then you'll end up with the job.

Honestly, the snobbery of uni students, eh? (I'm aware of any irony too )
