Yeah, unless I like won the lotto or something sometime this year; then HECs is very good for me. Without it, I'd be struggling to pay the university fees. Even with the money I've saved up now, wouldn't be able to pay for all those fees. O.O Those numbers still scare me. So, YAY.

Isn't it the obvious option for most people? If you're rich, however, and want a large discount on your university fees then either you or your parents can pay for it. The vast majority consume an entire HECS debt though.

i decided i dont want my parents to spend any money on me which they can avoid

so from now on im taking hecs loan instead of getting them to pay up front

unless you have a spare ~$30k lying around, obvs go for hecs.

u dont have to worry about it till you're earning around $40k per year, and even then it's a small amount (i thinmk, idk exactly how much) deducted from your pay.
be smrt with your money and you'll be fine.

Yay for sure. I could quite easily pay my fees as I go, but I'd much rather use the money now for travel etc.

plus my parents can pay for me, and my mom will pay for me xD
