i don't get it either. i always thought it was some asian thing... i think my dad said that if i wash my hair during my periods, i'll get really bad headaches.... well, it's never happened and i think eating cold stuff gives you a sore tummy?

my dad also believes that i should always blowdry my hair straight after i wash it, or else i'll "feel really bad pains" (?!?!) when i'm older.
