the only one they suggest is a maths bridging course if you didn't do maths ext 1.

did you guys do it?

i'm quite bad a maths, but i did 3unit maths at school and still did badly, and i also found the maths course quite tough. so if you haven't done maths 3unit, AND you think you're not that good at maths, then do the bridging course.

if you did 3unit, and you're not bad, then don't bother with it. they revise heaps of the HSC maths course there.

I did 4U maths, but did bad in maths (E3 only for 3U!)
Not sure if any of you guys notice that... Maths in first year seems quite hard! Not wanna fail any of them so briging course might be a good tutoring course for me!

(But I will be back Sydney at 29th Jan... is that over yet?

heh, i did maths first sem, it's not that hard

toto - you don't need to do the bridging course if you did 4unit trust me.

i did 4u in high school then dropped back to 3u towards the end. most of the 4u stuff they cover again, like complex numbers and stuff.

if you're planning on higher maths, well i got no idea, that looked super hard.

i'm doing the civil/mining course

it's the same as civil or the first 3 years. you then have the option to apply for mining for year 4

IMHO mining is pretty useless :)

Civil is already good enough

yeeeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa civil/arts... UNSW better live up to its reputation of partying, beer, other asorted alcohols, quality females and barbeques coz i am "spending" my 91.55 uai on it.
See ya all there; ill be the guy dancing to his own singing and musical noises and pouring beer on himself

Oh well, I think I would leave the decision of combining mining or commerce in 3rd year not now

By the way, did anyone ever tried to get account degree from combined commerce?
