This gives me relief, but not for the reasons you'd intend. I would RATHER compete against the state than my school. The amount of pressure that is put on me and my peers in the bubble I live in can be overwhelming at times. Meauring up against the rest of the state would only put things into perspective.ultimately though, make the most of yr 11, because really, you're only competing against your class mates at the moment. next year, you're competing against the entire state.
Actually, it's a common perception shared not only by students who have finished high school, but teachers too. The jump from Year 10 to Year 11 is much more drastic than Year 11 to Year 12. A lot of students find the workload something they're not used to. Year 12 is more of the same, but at least it's not a whole new ball-game like Year 11 is considered to be.tell me that in a years time.
