I love making cupcakes.

Turkish Delight Cupcakes!
Photos aren't that great because the sun wasn't so bright this evening.
Chocolate cupcakes with pieces of chocolate coated Turkish delight in them topped with rosewater icing and a piece of traditional Turkish delight.
They actually taste really nice.

I really need to invest in some nicer looking cupcake cases... perhaps those nice foil ones.

Goddamnit. Those are pretty fucking awesome. How much time does it take you guys to make these?

Well the polymer clay cupcakes I make for jewellery take about one hour each to make and they're usually about 2.5cm tall. Then about fifteen minutes to bake. Plus then I've got to wait for it to cool before adding the gloss to make it look all shiney and pretty.
For real cupcakes?
It depends on the recipe really. The Turkish delight cupcakes took me about an hour or so because it was a new recipe I hadn't used before but if I'm just making vanilla cupcakes they take me less than an hour to throw all the ingredients together, bake and ice.

Next batch of cupcakes will either be passionfruit, saffron spice (but the stuff is so damn expensive I'm not sure I want to use it for cupcakes unless it's for a special occasion), or lemon meringue cupcakes.

A batch of cupcakes, from start to finish, might take 3 hours.

But that includes the time it takes for them to cool down enough for me to ice them.

Love baking. Next batch will be orange and poppyseed with orange juice icing, as requested by the bf.

cupcakes doesnt have to be dry
there are ones that are 'wet' as you'd say haha
