You just order each of your 5 preferences so that your top course is your first preference. You get the highest preference for which you are eligible/competitive enough. So if your ATAR is not high/competitive enough for your first preference but is high enough for your second preference, you get an offer for your second preference. You only get one offer per round, but there are many rounds. So if you still want a chance at your top course, you can wait each round as some people who get an offer for your top course may pick a different course leaving a spot open for you.

If you actually get an offer but then you remove it as a preference, then no, it doesn't stay. Best practice is to keep your offer but move it down preferences if you want to get into a different course, that way, you could try for more competitive courses with the security of a firm offer.

For early entry, it's mainly just a uni specific thing (check the website for each uni. Tbh, I wouldn't stress about early offers as the state government has recently made it compulsory that all early entry offers are conditional, so you have to cook either way.

I have my pre-school friend's contact but we don't talk that much/often and it doesn't feel the same as when we used to especially in year 6-7, probably also bc she doesn't generally go on much

if you havent cleared your temporary folders it should get about 20-80gb of storage back

I don't know how many hours of study I should be doing a day... Honestly I've been slacking off a bit but I try to do around 2 hours a day. Would it be right to do past papers right now? Should I already get started with those?

i think ur on a great track w that much study, icl i havent done a single thing so far these holidays so dw
just make sure u keep up w study during school as well lol, theres no point doing a certain amount of study if it's only during the holidays and then doing no more than the bare minimum after school starts over.
i also feel like it does really depends on your subjects too.
for major work subjects, ive heard from some of my friends that their teachers told them to work on it mainly in the holidays when they have so much freetime and can afford to spend multiple hours on it at one time.
however, with something like a language, i think the strat is 15 mins a day, EVERY DAY.
basically it all jst really depends, but if youre consistent you should be good

- For us, we learned the entire processes of PCR and Gel Electrophoresis so that we could briefly outline them, but it also helps you understand how they work for applications
- It's good to learn mitosis and meiosis to quite a bit of detail, including the function of the centrioles/microtubules, homologous chromosomes, crossing over, independent assortment, and random segregation. Also, make sure you know how to model or draw them as well as their purposes

Does anyone know if a 97 ATAR with three UAC EAS categories and a good UCAT score would be competitive for UNSW medicine? (Assuming my selection rank is adjusted because of EAS). Alternitively, would it be better if I applied to UNSW Med through the Gateway program?
