Does anyone know if a 97 ATAR with three UAC EAS categories and a good UCAT score would be competitive for UNSW medicine? (Assuming my selection rank is adjusted because of EAS). Alternitively, would it be better if I applied to UNSW Med through the Gateway program?

I think for unsw med they look at ur atar raw which I'm pretty sure is super not allowed but I think true??? idk

no but I want to see one on birth technologies or smth. like yk that one lady who had a uterus transplant. society has gone from banning and shaming stuff like ivf and surrogacy to performing UTERUS TRANSPLANTS. like some ppl think its amazing and some ppl think men are gonna be able to give birth and satans coming back. so like 'changing perceptions on birth technologies' or smth

no you should do one on witchtok. like yk how back in the day witches were burnt and they were depicted in movies as super evil because ew paganism but now in 2025 witchcraft is super cool and trendy and spiritual. so that could be like a broader commentary on religion and feminism and the subordination of women through fundamentalist religions or wtv. and you could say the rise in weird spiritual shit like 'witchtok' is a result of feminism and yea giving woman power and automy and stuff yay feminism.

HAHAHA those are actually really cool topics omg I wish I did one of those. but I know someone who is doing booktok as their topic, so that's really cool. if you search up 'PIP', their questionnaire comes up, so you can complete it and talk to them about their topic.

if i was to do a pip i would do something that is so easily googable if ykwim
something like the power of social media - pretty boring but its very googable easy marks

or just know how to research. cough cough google scholar. cough cough control F to find stuff relevant to ur topic in massive journal articles you don't want to read. niche is usually more fun imo

i did sac accel last yr and in my experience, a lot of the pips that did very well were the ones that examined a broader issue (volunteerism, consumerism, the power of literature) through a rlly niche or theortic lens. also brainrot could be an interesting topic if done well cos it links to postmodern linguistics and deconstruction theory which is rlly cool - anything flies in sac HAHAHHAH
