Ok for starters... the poker scenes, like a fucking bullet to my brain.

Je sus fucking christ.

"How about we up the blinds" How about there's 4 people left and you don't fucking decide that you massive douchebag... That line really killed it for me... And the statistic bit at the beginning... dude... no one would ever do that and we can all put 8 over the number of cards left.

And the last hand just made me want to stab myself in the temple. For starters... the betting, what the fuck. All in, all in, all in, all in. No side pots were established, and bond just splashed the pot which would have deserved a bitch slap to the face from the dealer. I mean they didn't even establish that Bond had more chips than the evil dude, which meant he couldn't have actually lost that hand which would have probably made it less suspensful.

But really, in any case the hand was highly unbelievabe... like even if the cards were the same that hand never would have played out like that. A guy has pockets and a dude has an ace with low kicker, somebody would have raised that late in the game... and nobody, nobody would ever... ever... EVER play 3 6 suited or what the fuck ever he had to the flop if somebody raised.

But the other parts of the movie were good...

On second viewing I must say that Eva Green in her green dress watching Daniel Craig wake up and saying 'I can't help waking you up because you look at me like you haven't seen me in a thousand years' was possibly the most beautiful moment in that film.

well it was good overall but i think it dragged on quite a bit...the action died down after the start scene aswell.

I <3 Bond again.

And it was about time Pierce Brosnan left too - He wouldn't've been able to pull off CR like Daniel Craig did.

And I noticed only the Rolex/Omega product placement - Were there anymore?

Haha I had fun with the product placement the second time around.

All the cars are Fords, except the Aston Martin (which is owned by Ford anyway).

Smirnoff ads before the movie, bottles featured heavily in the background (a pyramid of them in the airport, for example), and Gordon's (which is the Vesper's main ingredient) is distributed by the same company.

Sony everything (vaio laptops, cameras, sony ericsson phones).

Omega watches (Bond is featured in real-world omega ads).

Other brands I noticed (just in the background)- Ray Ban, Louis Vuitton, Chanel.

i loved this movie. i have hated most of the previous bond films and this one was a breath of fresh air.
i loved:
  • the opening credits and that they didnt feel the need to have a lame opening with girls dancing round.
  • the lack of cheesy lines
  • the music
  • daniel craig
  • the poker games, i thought they were good

i hated:
  • the pair of bogans sitting behind me making stupid comments all the way through, they were about 50 but thought they were 10

He gets tortured but its not gory

But mighty painful I would assume.
Every man is going to walk out of the theatre feeling that one. I can't think of anything more painful than a heavy knotted rope to the gonads. Cringe-worthy scene, but some fo the blackest humour I've seen since the Firefly episode War Stories.

I certainly didn't, and I'm not the only one. As I said before, it's funny like the gore in Saw III was funny.

Pretty cool opening scene..

a chase to the top of scaffolding and cranes..why not?

Daniel Craig did a fine job as bond, however i couldnt help thinking "De-rek Zoo-lan-der" the pout and the walk were almost a little too male model-ish for me...

suave nonetheless

Daniel Craig was awesome. His eyes! Fuck. When he said "Look into my eyes" to the Bond girl, I was just thinking, OMGGLADLY. They were the most gorgeous things I've seen in a long time.

The movie as a whole was good, I too loved the opening. I didn't particularly like the last half-hour, though.

Whoa, I saw Casino Royale on boxing day I think. Yeah, boxing day-
it was the best James Bond movie I've ever seen!
I really didn't get into any of the Pierce Brosnan ones, I just... Didn't like him, but daniel Craig is awesome.

Easily. But I knew where to look; he's the man being searched in the metal detector at Miami. It was his 'payment' for loaning a jetliner to the production crew (the Skyfleet prototype; it was ctually totally white with the decals being added later) and saving them approximately $20 million in costs.

The more dificult cameo to spot is that fo Doctor Gunther von Haagens (I think that's his name), the creator of the BodyWorlds exhibits Bond visits in Miami shortly before the Branson cameo. No idea where von Haagens is, probably because I have no idea what he looks like ...

dunno if im spose to admit this.....mite be banned from bos permanently...lol...but i've neva seen a bond film b4 casino royale. hahahaha. be shocked. but i was very pleasantly surprised by this film....mostly coz of the luscious daniel craig. OMGAWD those broad shoulders!!! but the action stuff is kewl as!! but i heard that this was the last film, coz all the books have been made into films...does that mean daniel craig and future bond films is history?
