I go to Tipps been there since yr 7. there's this really good maths tutor called ricky shame he only teachers 7-10 he would make a great yr11-12 teacher too. anywho currently i do everything i can do there, 3U,4U, english, chem, physics. I have english with mr grumley all my friends have mr bruce but that's because i've gone stupid the past few years and i'm not in the top class well not even in the 2nd top anymore (i'm trying real hard now) heard mr bruce is really good.

how can u publically say that bout ricky??jks yeah hes alright BUT hes HILARIOUS and has the LARGEST collection of pink shirts EVER probably more than me and im a teenage girl!!!

Ricky is quite an odd person as is Kobskii...
Jasmine socialises a lot in her classes so there is some good class interaction but she has a hard time explaining the harder concepts lol.....it took me a good read through the cambridge Extension 2 textbook to understand what she was on about in the Volumes topic.

Maths:
KMB at chatswood is very good- ask for Danny, he is the best for 3u or 4u maths as there isn't a problem he can't solve and he gives you extra resources in the form of examination style questions- costs $59 an hour, however, I would not recommend him if you cannot understand an asian accent.

I heard KMB was $42 for 90 mins? Yeah, l heard he is extremley fob, haha

Harry's Maths is pretty good, but you hafta to focus coz the excercises for HW is based on the examples he gives, but you can go to the workshops (potentially 5 times a week) if you don't get it

people mostly ask harry's after their class e.g. tuesday afternnon or if u stil ldont get it ask the tutor guy but theres worked solution so u should get it

not for maths though = =, for chemistry and english.

he is soo into chemistry = =, full showing me all his past medical students, chemistry degree and whatnot, but this is a positive note i guess, i hope he does well tutoring.

Friend of mine also goes for chemistry and maths. He said maths is good but for chemistry harry taught a little too fast or the course felt too hard im not sure what he ment but yeah.

Does he give you a lot of question n homework and really good selsctive types of all different tyepes and challenging ones too?

For maths, I went to Terry Lee (Author of Advanced mathematics, 4unit) I thought he was a terrific tutor and he improved me by 10 marks in the HSC for ME1. I was very happy with that.

most of my fwds also said terry lee is best for maths just the location is a bit unconveinent

i was wondering that whether since terry lee teaches you, the q he gives you,

are they the same as in his textbook he wrote

if so then wht would be the point of coaching or does he give you different materials.? n do you get a lot of hw?

n did he only wrote maths textbbok for 4u maths? wht abt 3u maths?

m thinking of going there after all the topics are taught, going there for those trial/HSC revision lessons covering all topics and do you have any idea about the cost?

so if you enroll, it will definitely be taught by Terry or you may have a dif teacher?

Terry Lee is the tops for 4u =)
Highly recommended. He's also avaliable at Pre-Uni Strathfield, but unless you have a scholarship there, you should go to his bankstown classes

I personally didn't like Terry Lee. Sure, he's got these tricks up his sleeve, but I personally didn't like his attitude. He was a bit too arrogant in my opinion, and he spends like only 10 minutes on theory which involves memorising rules and recipes for solving problems more so than understanding where they came from. He then spends the rest of the 2h+ time doing exercises from his textbook which anyone could have done at home as there were worked solutions given already.
For anyone who wishes to go there, make sure you can put up with his attitude. I would only recommend him if you're at the bottom of the class, completely lost and wish to improve a bit. In other words it's great if you're like at the 70-80 range and wish to bump it up to about the 80-90 range. However, if you're already at the 90-95 range then it really won't help in getting you to the 95-100 range. So the improvement is really only seen in the bottom end of the class.
