You're right ... but only just. I'm going to award you half points for misreading it (again, common with you). While all the colleges promote a sense of togetherness, they also promote individual values. For us, it's determination, the never-say-die attitude (at least, that's how I see it). Others have loyalty as their main virtue. My point was that in my experience, Austin seems to promote a condescending attitude. Sure, taken at face value, suzieee's comments are innocent. but when you're as jaded as I am (not difficult, I assure you), there's a whole subtext. You see the end of the theatre sports where everyone got up, but I slipped out the side door? It was my team's party and I wasn't going to take the credit for doing nothing. All the Austiners I know - and maybe I seem to be meeting all the bad eggs - probably would have jumped up there when in my position.
Of course, you're all so arrogant that criticism simply bounces off you. The problem in this thread isn't me. It's you. I've already told you how to make me go away, but you've all ignored it. I'm beginning to think you like this (read: losing). I'll give you enough rope to hang yourself, but I expect you to be smart enough not to do so.
