Hey guys, please chuck us an Atar estimate, my ranks are below:

Eng Adv: 74/160 (Generally like 40 Band 6)
Chem: 1/50 (generally 10+)
Physics: 5/45 (Generally 10+)
Bio (lol): 20/50 (generally 15+) <- most likely won't count towards my atar
Maths 4u: 10? (not sure could be higher)/50 (generally 20+)
Maths 3u: 98 HSC mark (already have my mark)

Is a 98 atar possible? My school is ranked in the top 30s

Thanks, I am stressed out.

Pretty sure 98+ is possible. Only thing that might hold you back is English (so annoying that it has to count to our ATAR)

maybe, but if so, barely. I estimate mid 97s
also how do you already have your score for 3u math?

Accelerated course

I estimate high 97’s could get into the mid 98 range if you do exceptionally well for English. Also what are your average school marks per subject btw?

idk but my school is predicting me these HSC marks:

English: 83 - 86
Chem: 94 - 96 (I wanna state rank this lol)
Physics: 92 - 93
Bio: 88~ (didn't really pay attention to this one lol)
Maths 4u: 93 - 95
Maths 3u: 98 already got.

EDIT: I put this stuff into the Atar calculators, which all spit out like mid 98s to low 99s, how accurate is this?

ignore any atar predict pre-2019. old syllabus stem gave out less marks and were harder in general. tho if ur exams are like 2021's, pre-2019 atar estimates may be somewhat useful. But then you should take into account the band 6 rates for 2021 which were a bit lower iirc.

yea that's what I have been doing anyways since I just took the lowest one I could see as the one I am getting lol. How much of a chance for a 98+ atar do you think I have?

your internal marks should be enough for 98 atar unless ur cohort's worse than usual.

Sorry for hijacking but could anyone provide an ATAR estimate with the following ranks? Would this be enough for ~98?

- Economics --> Rank: 3/35 --> Past B6S: 14 (2019), 8 (2020), 10 (2021)

- Business --> Rank: 10/58 --> Past B6S: 57 (2019), 31 (2020), 23 (2021)

- Maths advanced --> Rank: 13/138 --> Past B6S: 44 (2019), 29 (2020), 26 (2021)

- Math extension 1 --> Rank: 16/86 --> Past B6S: 36 (2019), 30 (2020), 38 (2021)

- English advanced --> Rank: 59/158 --> Past B6S: 29 (2019), 37 (2020), 42 (2021)

- Studies of religion I --> Rank: 24/73 --> Past B6S: 9 (2019), 19 (2020), 23 (2021)

Also my school is in the top 40. Thanks!

You’re currently looked at a ≈96, however a 98 is definitely still within reach, you just needed to smash your externals! :D

I would say you are on track for a 98 - externals will be crucial on how this plays out and how good your cohort is!

Despite English pulling you down, you have a really good chance of a 98! Try to ace English in the hsc so it does not damage your ATAR too much! Nonetheless, those ranks are💯

I would say about 97 to 99ish( more likely in the middle or high 97s). Try to improve English and you are set 🙂. Nonetheless those ranks are 💯

Thank u for your opinions and kind message. My teacher apparently said that will be around mid 98ish due to the fact my English he said I can get 84 and maths X1 like 98. But let me know your opinions

I wouldn’t ‘expect’ a 98 for maths X1, keep in mind just a few small mistakes or any number of things on exam day could definitely throw that off. However, you are still definitely more than capable of it, good luck! :D

He meant a scaled mark, but at the worst case I can still get a 96
