Also is that true that Hsc English they will mark it more lineantly. Because I’ve had a few friends from my school get 3-4 more more than their internal mark so does that most likely mean I can get a 87-88 overall English marks.. because I reckon I can do well in english

I mean I’m talking of the overall ATAR buddy. Do u reckon 98+ is really dooable if I do well in my external.. potentially a high 98
It’s all about your English mark, a couple extra raw marks in maths won’t make a big difference however a couple extra raw marks in English will make a major difference to your atar.

Your teacher’s prediction does seem a little optimistic, however if you nail your externals (especially English) it’s definitely possible. Good luck, you got this :D

Ohhhh that makes sense buddy. But as long as I can reach that 98 or + ..... I will be happy enough. But surely I will be hovering around that 97.8-98.5 currently

Sorry for hijacking but could anyone provide an ATAR estimate with the following ranks? Would this be enough for ~98?

- Economics --> Rank: 3/35 --> Past B6S: 14 (2019), 8 (2020), 10 (2021)

- Business --> Rank: 10/58 --> Past B6S: 57 (2019), 31 (2020), 23 (2021)

- Maths advanced --> Rank: 13/138 --> Past B6S: 44 (2019), 29 (2020), 26 (2021)

- Math extension 1 --> Rank: 16/86 --> Past B6S: 36 (2019), 30 (2020), 38 (2021)

- English advanced --> Rank: 59/158 --> Past B6S: 29 (2019), 37 (2020), 42 (2021)

- Studies of religion I --> Rank: 24/73 --> Past B6S: 9 (2019), 19 (2020), 23 (2021)

Also my school is in the top 40. Thanks!
I got estimated a 97.15 from my school today, however I am aiming for a 98+ so would it still be possible to achieve that?

Yes, you definitely have a chance of reaching a 98+ ATAR. Not only is your current position consistent with an ATAR very close to your target according to your school, but the fact that the HSC exams of your different subjects are worth 50% of your HSC marks is quite significant in terms of allowing you to achieve your goal.

Based on this, you should focus your efforts on maximising your preparations across your subjects, so that you can perform at a similar level in your HSC exams. Given your current position, one subject that is likely to have a significant impact on whether you end up attaining your desired ATAR is English Advanced. Because of this, you should probably place additional focus on your revision in terms of this subject.
