oh i think the manga and anime has different ending...the anime is more ambiguous, like jim_green said in the end the promise didnt really matter anymore.

What peer2peer networks are fast for d/l anime?
I want to get end of evangelion and DEATH&REBIRTH (I heard that they would be aired on SBS later this year). Perfect blue and NGE are the two most psychologically twisted animes I've seen -
I think in the NGE movie the ending is different to the last NGE episode - people thought that the last episode was not graphic enough and too hard to understand

apparently the creator recieved death threats and did a movie to explain the confusing ending of the series
