The problem basically comes down to not enough decent posters, creating not enough decent threads.

Among the excellent posters, they are pretty much all in one bloc, the broad church of various soft and extreme liberals. We have our token awesome social conservative, Iron, and a couple of just passable socialists, who really don't have the fire or talent to go toe to toe with someone like Waf.

Eh, it'll change in time I guess. Talent comes and goes. Could be worse, I'm thankful for what we have.

And the threads that do foster good debate (God thread, Eugenics, homosexuality) get buried because there are 4 different threads on the same topic created every day, people forget they're there, and when they are resurrected the trolls just infiltrate and make it not worth the effort.

Nobody puts in any effort anymore, well yes but rarely, because it's a safe bet that everything just ends up as a mass trolling spree. This thread is a perfect example. First page was good, we fostered debate. Along come the usual suspects and fuck it up.
