School Photos/ Muck up photos (Year 12s)

I find school photos a hassle as well. Pointless, and only a handful of people actually look "good". The rest either have some weird facial expression going on (me in year 10, wth was I doing lol), look alright or look nothing like they do in real life due to bad lighting (untrue skin colours...

    Textbook question

For some units, the recommended textbooks are actually readers. So some units may require readers, others your lecturer will probably inform you (or you can ask them).

Taking Electives at a Different Campus

Are first year BHSc students allowed to take electives at Cumberland, or are they restricted to only the ones available at Camperdown?

    Units of study in Pharmacy

Yeah, you don't really have any choice it seems in the first 3 years. In year 4, you might (I'm not sure) be able to choose a different major.

    How was your enrolment day?

It was a lot easier and less stressful than I thought it would be, took an hour. Queuing wasn't bad either, had people to talk to, and was pretty organised. Staff were helpful, answered my questions and helped fill out the forms (there was barely anything to fill out anyway). This was at...

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

haha :P A change in polypeptide will result in a change in the protein produced. As most enzymes are proteins, this will disrupt cell activity as the enzyme needed for a particular reaction has been altered and substrate molecules can no longer bind to the enzyme active site. (not sure if this...

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

I already did. If you look at the pedigree, 3 isn't shaded --> he's unaffected. Males can't be carriers of sex-linked diseases.

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

But he's not affected. For 3 and the mother to pass it on to their children, the mother has to be a carrier. XRY x XRXr This can result in: XrY

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

It's sex-linked. Males can't be carriers, they either have it or they don't. So 3 is normal.
