Just wondering if you are allowed to go to a different lecture stream than the one prescribed to you on your timetable. Does it matter?

You can major in finance with a bachelor of economics at USYD. It would just be a double major along with economics/econometrics or financial economics.

Well, if you get a 90 which is your HSC mark, last year that scaled to a 97 (according to the atar calculator).

Ancient definitely wont count. If you got those exact raw marks last year you would be looking at around 90-93 ATAR, so 90 is definitely possible, depending on how your cohort goes- especially in English Advanced - and your performance in the externals.

If a 74 aligns to a 90, then that 90 scales to around 97, but this changes each year.

I'd say it depends what your rank is.

I would believe the Assessment Rank would play a bigger role since the assessment mark is heavily scaled by BoS. My ranks are okay. Maths and business are near top, but my other ones are just average/high. That couldnt effect it incredibly though right? maybe around a 5 atar mark difference at most?

Slightly off topic but in Human Rights when they say a contemporary issue, would something that happened in 2004 be classified as contemporary?

Why don't just enter all of it into an ATAR calculator and figure it out yourself, seeing as you already know the HSC marks. This will be more accurate than what anyone here tells you.

I thought BoS aligns the marks before sending them to UAC - which is our hsc mark - and UAC scales those marks to produce an ATAR?
