Has anyone done the 50th Gate? We haven't really discussed this book at ALL, which is worrying me due to how close the trials are, so if anyone has any points or ANYTHING about 50th Gate would be a help

For parenting and caring, we have to do a video report on 'Parenthood.' Is there any tips or somesuch pointers for this? I'm a bit stuck on this assignment. What do we have to focus on?

Precisely my point, that is all I have to go on. Write a 5min speech on the novel's textual integrity, which in itself would not be so bad, but everything that gives it textual integrity ie. metafiction, language, readings, etc. So I don't know where to start.

I think it basically means, what can the community do to help these groups but not shove it down their throats. Like, with families in crisis, community fund raisers for a family whose lost their house in a fire...but not patronise someone. Ugh...I don't think I;m explaining this well. Um, well...

While a set of conventions is at the heart of modern crime fictions, composers are judged by how effectively they move on from these to create brilliant variations, or to subvert the genre. How does The Big Sleep conform to or subvert the crime fiction genre? Thats it. Pretty basic...

I used to have it (damn disorganisation!) but does anyone know the list of genre requirements, eg. mean streets, hard-boiled detective, etc.? Trying to do this report for Ext. 1 and I don't even know what I'm loking for! God help me....! :D

In my short story there is two different threads and one is in Ancient Rome, so I made all the modern characters have anglicised Roman names (eg. Antoni Licini, Marc Paterni etc.) or....which sometimes helps...go onto www.kabalarians.com find lists of names, close your eyes, and point! ;)

Anyone doing it for crime fiction? I've heard some people have done it already. Its....its.....*interesting* it seems like a hard book to do for crime fiction. Any thoughts?
