    Is Julia Gillard a socialist?

Ahh ok. So he ROTE learns politics bahahaha. The funny thing is, all of his threads end up being unrelated to the original discussion, because we always discuss his credibility lol. Maybe that's why he repetitively posts them.

    Is Julia Gillard a socialist?

Bahahahahaha. I wonder why so many people are so negative about Sathius? You should be thankful that he places random political debates on here. Personally, I don't care much for politics, but whatevs.

    Physics or chemistry

Gear away from both. There are around 15 other humanities courses better for you than Physics or Chemistry. Before choosing Chem or Physics, you need to know what type of learner you are. Rote or application? Physics is more ROTE than Chem, simply because you have to remember useless stuff...

Should I do Maths Ext. 2?

+1. This is very good advice. I hated Graphics and liked Economics. I ended up dropping Graphics. In the end I actually started hating Eco, but did not regret my decision.

    complex numbers question from cambridge

To find the fourth roots of something like 2+2i, you must find its equivalence in mod-arg form, then use De Moivre's theorem. Another quick thing to do is let: 1 = cis \;( 2k\pi) = z^n

How applicable is HSC physics to civil engineering?

Motion and momentum I'm guessing are pretty important from prelim Physics. 1). For civil engineering, your basically going to resolve forces and stuff, which can be covered in MX2 Mechanics. For someone doing electrical, MandG, I2I and Age of Silicon are important. However, for civil...

Re: HSC 2013 4U Marathon what do you mean?

    HSC 2013 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2013 4U Marathon Doesn't "of the unity" mean it equals one though? And I know one mistake I did was I forgot to put in "cubic" i.e. w^3 =1

    What are CPU cores?

Luckily I did Age of Silicon. OP if you find this stuff interesting, I recommend you do Age of Silicon as an elective module for HSC Physics. This is UNSW comp sci right? Do you do this type of stuff in electrical as well?

    HSC 2013 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2013 4U Marathon Find the cubic roots of: w^3 = 1 in (i) mod-arg form and (ii) the form x+iy, where x and y are real. I'm not sure if this is too early in the year to post for 2014'ers. EDIT: By the way, there are two ways to do this question.

    UNSW Rural Engineering Scholarship

Wow. Hopefully for my cohort a fair few get accepted and if they drop-out, there will be an opportunity for me. Then again, there are a few 3rd year cadet-ships for the top achievers in elec eng, which are actually within the fields I want to lead into for work after uni. Thanks for your time...

    UNSW Rural Engineering Scholarship

Wow. At the time of submitting my application, I was still unsure and had Chemical and Mechanical as well. I think now there's a 70% chance I will do electrical. Also, I read in a FAQ booklet from the elec/telecom school that someone got into Co-op with a 95.7 I'm guessing maybe they had EAS...

    Anyone into BICYCLE riding?

Cheering. Can't wait until next year. http://www.unswbikeclub.org.au/

    UNSW Rural Engineering Scholarship

Fair enough. That was kind of out of my control, so there is not much I could do really. And I'm not going to lie on the application. A guy in my school was expected to get 95+ and ends up with an 80. Hopefully I can get an interview for the other cadet-ship type scholarships at UNSW. And I'm...

    Anyone into BICYCLE riding?

Not many people do it. They somehow lose interest back in their tweens. I've been trying to get others to come bike riding with me. For a year now I have been riding solo. I just wish that more of us BOS'ers lived near and could start riding together. Have our own gang. Pass by the rebels HQ...

    What are CPU cores?

This is correct. It is important to note that single core processing has not increased in speed clocking for about ten years. This is the reason why multiple CPU's are used, as the physical limits of computer's are arising. This is why most processors are said to have a clocking speed of...

    UNSW Rural Engineering Scholarship

I was ranked first in 3 subjects, second in one, third in my other two. The school isn't supposed to tell you the predicted ATAR. In my application, I put my personal prediction as 85-97, because the marks of different cohorts in my year are very volatile. And I have heaps of co-curricular...

If you still have a bike around, then just go for it one day.
