Yes. Your method and tests were in the right order and are all correct. Well done.

    Galvanic cell question

E(cathode) - E(Anode) from the table. To achieve the greatest possible potential, the two electrodes must be furthest away on the chart (standard reduction potentials) from each other. This can be proved by simple maths work.

why is KJ/g a better measure of 'heat efficiency' of fuels than...

This is true. Validity refers to keeping everything of the method the same to accepted standards. Accuracy is just a measure of how close the experimental value obtained is relevant to the recognised standard values by established science organisations (IUPAC, ANSTO, etc.) Reliability --->...

    Substitute x=1 into y''. You will get: y''= 6x-6=6(1)-6=0

This years ACCT1511 is freakin hard

This is true. Many people complained this year that 2-unit and 4-unit were insanely hard exams compared to past papers, and I was upset that I was unable to begin the mechonical last question for 4-unit, and bam I lost 8/10 marks. However, the exam was still fair as it differentiated myself (an...

Re: The Official Football Thread ^^^I agree with these.

    The question mark is zero.

    What should I drop?

This is important. Also, drop what you don't enjoy most, as you will most likely not study for it and it may not count for your ATAR in the end. By the way, I think that is 12 units, not 13.

why is KJ/g a better measure of 'heat efficiency' of fuels than...

We had in our HSC this year a four marker on finding the specific heat capacity of a substance. It is worth finding out how to do these calculations. Also make sure you use the form given in the standard integrals table: J per K per kg. (Or for this case J/g). Its just a technicality really...

    ATAR Calculators

True. By the way D94, I think there were many more engineering co-op applicants this year. My friend applied for BIS and read my application and was like: "If you don't get in anomalous decay, then there is no way I am getting in." But he got in :)

    ATAR Calculators

Exactly. Any way, back on the previous topic, I will be your witness that you are estimating a 95-96, and you can be my witness that I am estimating a 93-94, even though the calculators say we should both get over 99. Deal?

    ATAR Calculators

Its sad to see that people are not happy with a 99.95 ATAR, even though they beat around 70000 people in their year. Some people can be happy with as little as a 70 ATAR. Who gives a shit, its only a number that is important for 2 months and then has no value to you afterwards whatsoever.

    ATAR Calculators

Re: The p00n thread Thats why my ATAR estimate only included one band 6, but it still says around 94.7 which I find quite astonishing.

Re: The p00n thread Highest ever ATAR at my school was a 97. No way at all. I'm guessing that at my school, there are a lot more sillies than you can expect, or we just don't know how harsh marking is at my school. I'll keep in mind and post here my final ATAR, as all p00ners are my witness...

Re: The p00n thread Last minute study, did the maddest essays (13 pages, but will not get more than 15 in each), lucky to get over 10 in m/c, short answers biggest bullcrap, but also correct. My Science answering skills kicked in when doing short answers. Doesn't matter, I'm on 12 units :cool...

    ATAR Calculators

Re: The p00n thread Yeah I did, And I took away 3-4 marks from each before comparing to the database, simply accounting for sillies and stuff. EDIT: Also, our school hasn't had an ATAR above 92 in 4 years, so I'm kinda thinking this isn't a very accurate process for someone like me.
