Medical Physics v Quanta to Quarks

Wow what. You can't though. You need I2I for both Medical Physics and Q2Q. You only need M&G for AOS, but still I did it last and it was my strongest section.

    UNSW ID cards (2014 students)

Umm, I had to change my name in person to include middle name. They have to see your licence before you can change your name.

Do what your class does unless your teacher does not teach content. My teacher was very good at explaining all the things we needed to do to get a Band 6, but barely would teach us the content, which was up to us. My teacher let our class do whatever option we wanted, and I picked the one that...

    Oh yes my bad you need long division for those. What you need to do is something like this: \frac{x^3 + x^2 +5x + 6}{x-2} = x^2 + 5 + \frac{1}{x+1} So when you put the limit as x tends to infinity we get: \lim_{x \to \infty} \frac{x^3 + x^2 +5x + 6}{x-2} = x^2 + 5 So the asymptote...

By the way, I can probably scan the working out I had on the exercises for you and show you what I did to break the questions down. Maybe not today probably tomorrow night. I actually did graphs all by myself. I knew from half-yearlies that we wouldn't finish the syllabus on time and my...

I don't get that terminology lol. Show me a pic if you can or explain a little. The first exercise was a pain to get through. But by the time I got to the second and third I was already smashing the questions and was onto past papers. I didn't do 1:4 because the first three had already made me...

I do them quickly using the calculator. For example, for tending to zero from the positive side, put in your calculator: 0.000001 = ANS. Then use the ANS key to get a quick limit using this calculator short-cut. Don't use long division though. Just substitute a quick limit and it works all...

Who is the best internet provider?

I'm with Optus. I remember doing the speed test thing a while back and it said top 80% of the state or something, but still that varies with your area. Get normal cable (ie not optic fibre, but copper cable). ADSL methods aren't as fast as internet on copper cables (I'm on that with Optus)...

Basicaly I used to look at the question, apply the limits of positive and negative infinity, apply the limits of tending to zero from the positive side and negative side, then the limits involved with the denominator. You can do some mentally as some have no point in working out and writing...

I felt there was little logic to it, no experiments and nothing extra-curricular besides watching/reading the news (which I haven't been interested in news for years lol). There was one time where I tried to show the class how to use calculus in Economics, but considering only 4 in the class...

I said that in prelim lol. Come term 4 you know what happened. The point is don't judge a subject too much. You will find that you will be inclined to do more of a subject that you enjoy (as you are motivated to do it), without having to say that you enjoy it. Then you will realise that you...

    P's test.

I don't remember taking a ticket..... Maybe I did but just didn't remember. Then again it was at 8:30am when the RMS just opened so maybe I didn't need one.

    P's test.

When I went for my test, there was a big arow at the rms that said: "Tests" and I went to that cubicle. The guy asked what my name was and we started the test.

You can change it 48 or maybe 24 (not sure check the receipt as that will tell you) hours before the exam to a later date without losing your booking fee. I suggest you change it for a few more weeks if you have no idea on what to do.

    2014'ers Chit-Chat Thread

You do not get a grade if you drop it. Even if you do keep it with an N-award, all you need is to finish 10 units and you will get a HSC. You need to do 12 units in preliminary to get to HSC level. The other subjects don't matter.

    Questions about driving.

I'm doing semi-auto now. Taught myself in 5 minutes alone in the car. Manual would probably take 1-2 weeks to learn how to not stall anymore. Maybe a few months of daily driving and you will never have a bad shift or get confused at something anymore and you will be efficient in it. Don't...

    Graphs question

If you want to minimise silly mistakes in the exam, you have to get into that habit. Of course there is no need to sketch but a quick 5 second check will assure your answer. Also, OP did not know how to find it, so the best thing is for them to learn by sketching to start off, then when they...

    P's test.

Don't worry though. Hand-over-hand and push-pull methods are the safest and give you full control over the car so its best if you learn this method. I have seen people steer by holding the steering with one hand like a dumb-bell before which I would say is even more dangerous. I know that...

HSC tutoring - 97.25 atar- eco, business + free notes

Re: $15/hr tutoring - 97.25 atar- eco, bus + free notes Would highly recommend Daniel as a tutor. His mature approach to tutoring would make him the best candidate for your tutoring needs. Also, the awesome marks Daniel obtained in the HSC show his dedicated approach and thorough knowledge...

Difference between these ethanol potential fuel dot points?

Well depending on the question you get, it should actually affect your whole answer, as the structure of the answer should be different for a particular verb.
