There was a big drop for General Mathematics of a lot of students getting Band 3's rather than Band 4's. However, for Band 5 and 6 its still the same percentage.

Standard English has never really aligned well. Though this year, everything just got worse. As enoilgam said, there was a slight increase in the past few years in the amount of students getting a Band 6 but this year saw a downfall in the students getting Band 5.

Can't you use a stylus with the tablet and draw your own chemical equations and mathematical working? I'd still prefer paper all day every day except when modelling or using maple/geogebra or other programs.

You probably could get to 97 that way, but if you really want to get that mark, you would need to be in the top 5% of your year 12 cohort. All I can say is keep working as hard as possible and try your best to maximise your opportunities of getting those marks!

There is no such thing as your Band 6 chances are over until the day you get the results. However, the performance of your cohort and your final exam performance will determine your marks for the HSC. So if you want to maximise your chance of a Band 6, you need to get as many marks and...
