    Comp1917

Thanks! Its a neat little software and the most powerful maths engine I have ever used. I'll probably be in the labs tomorrow sometime if anyone wants to join.

    Physics Options

It depends what you mean by a bit of knowledge. Q2Q is the most rote learnable option and whatever you learnt before through youtube vid or whatever, you will have to relearn in the option because a lot in it involves the history of stuff, etc. And the course structure of stuff in HSC are...

    Physics Options

Depends on the teacher. I have a friend who did my option which probably cost a B6. But in saying that they never studied for the class option nor any other option. They did that option in HSC just because they had a bit of underlying knowledge in it and they were interested in it. If your...

Got a 51 for first assessment..

I thought my second year course was hard.... Reality is, try to improve. That's all you can really do. I barely scraped a pass in a quiz a few days ago but instead of sobbing I picked up my game and got 100% in the next one for the same course. Long story short, you can do it!!!

Bachelor of Accounting Co-operative Scholarship 2015, UTS

I definitely would recommend applying for this early on. As Oblivious Ninja and I experienced how tough the competition is for such a rewarding path, you have got to get in early and start thinking about how to process your application and prepare yourself ahead to make sure your application is...

    UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2014

Those questions popped up in 70% of them so it can easily be memorised how to get the result. However the approach does seem logical and the logic step should be stated (however its ok if you don't because its assumed) (what I showed you with the 0+ and 0- relation to the part without the...

    Benefits of taking advanced units?

At UNSW higher Physics is a requirement in semester 2 only (because in higher physics b there is a lot on electromagnetism in Physics in semester 2 which is a foundation of electrical). I'm guessing it would complement doing higher with higher in some cases (though probably not necessary).

    UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2014

That's because they were done lighting fast ;) Doing a 20 min test in 7 mins is not the best idea

What car do you drive? (the new one)

I've driven an Audi that's clocked over 500000kms. It had less power output than a vw beetle for the amount I was pushing the accelerator.

What car do you drive? (the new one)

Do you need 5000L to move it 1 metre :p ? Coz its like 1 million tonnes. Jks I know about those utes.

What car do you drive? (the new one)

First hand experience here that even manufactured sunroofs can leak. It came to the point that we superglued it on and do not use the sunroof anymore. Not necessarily. What about the German one's :p But there are a few good fords available. Emphasis on "few".

What car do you drive? (the new one)

Yes but at least you are a responsible driver and you got that boxer beast after a few years of driving :p

    SA-help

Apparently yes. Because if it says you are HECS-HELP eligible and you have applied for SA-HELP then it should be automatically covered.

    Which field?

Science has one of the most broad possible combinations of courses to pick throughout the 3/4 years you do it. The only core I think is MATH11X1.

What car do you drive? (the new one)

This is very true. Having a car worth less than $5k and with less than $1k a year of costs associated with it is a good start to things. That way you don't have to worry about it too much if something happens to the physical body (paint, low speed crashes, etc). Though with this concept, you...

What car do you drive? (the new one)

We had two holdens back 15 years ago. Never again is what we said. If someone gave me a brand new holden, I would rather sell it and buy something else. Just my opinion though which is probably not even relevant 15 years later.

    Comp1917

I went up to a girl and guy after seeing 1141 on their screens and asked if they were first years and asked if they would mind me joining them in learning it together. They were very helpful and I was thankful that I met the right people that day to notify me we had to get the first 3 done...

I don't know about you for MAPLE but I just decided to do the tests and through the help of a few other first years who had been using it a few times I learnt it within two hours. I actually ended up overtaking them in terms of the quizzes within these two hours even though they had done...
