    De Moivre's theorem

You are missing the fact that how on earth can we just assume that (I have to use the cis notation but its cringe-worthy) (cis \theta)^n = cis (n\theta) How can you assume this is true? How is it possible to say that if we know for sure that it isn't true for cos or sin? This is why you...

    De Moivre's theorem

From memory in the inductive step you need to expand the cos and sin part where you should get something like cos (x(n+1)) + i sin (x(n+1)). Check any textbook like Terry Lee, Cambridge, Fitzpatrick, etc and they will have the whole proof on De Moivre's theorem for HSC ONLY.

    Plans for Uni Break?

That reminds me I should try to learn python some time soon. Maybe after I learn C.

Is it possible to get 90 atar?

I came here to give an estimate but completely forgot what on earth is going on and now its taking me longer than usual to give an estimate. 85 to 90 is my guess.

Literally can't enroll in anything else :(

I have two to go still so I'm halfway through a turn around. But damn phys. I was getting about 75% raw in practice papers and then out popped some mechanics questions and I bombed the 40 marks for q2 and q3.

    UTS vs USYD Engineering

I applied for this. http://www.engineering.unsw.edu.au/feas But in the end it wasn't necessary. And these bonus points can come in handy too, especially the HSC plus ones as they are probably the easiest ones to get...

Yeah failing is the worst when it gets you stuck. Just hoping no fails then will be ready to up my game next sem too.

    UTS vs USYD Engineering

I'm assuming for UTS and USyd and UNSW its similar. However it does depend on the program you do I guess. And more than anything experience is key too.

    Plans for Uni Break?

That sig. You are going to need more than 4 applications :/ Submit more if you can.

Wow. So you have 15 contact hours theoretically and an online course. Pretty good man.

What car do you drive? (the new one)

Wait given by your HSC status aren't you on L's or P's now though? But its a good car nevertheless.

Yeah so if you are deffs gonna stay in mech then it doesn't hurt. And if you end up doing something completely different like commerce (not saying you will), then you can make it a gen ed or something lol.

You do realise that elec1111 is actually a requirement for mechanical as well. Aerospace too. In fact I think you need it for everything in school of mech.

edited my post as above. It is confirmed allowed to do 2141. Well I think the only difference is the prescribed textbook (which actually in 1112 we don't touch the textbook but the questions are similar to them) and the lectures/tutors. However D94 had people from elec when I asked and one of...

I have told you this before and yes you can do it. I know someone in mechatronics who did it this sem. 1111 and 1112 are given the exact same paper at the end any way. I'm pretty sure they are the same. And students who do 1111 are allowed to do 2141 too...
