    Textbooks at UNSW.

Lol from that experience I will now most likely get as many elec textbooks possible.

    Hahahahaha so awks lol

How hard will Physics get in yr 12?

As I said before. Practically nothing I'm aware of. Only difference is...... I have no clue they should be exactly the same. They are both supposed to be equivalent on the handbook. If you do 1111 next sem, you can do 2141 next year ;)

How hard will Physics get in yr 12?

do it! do it! do it! Nah its a fun course you'll love it we should stop talking about uni stuff here lol.

How hard will Physics get in yr 12?

Yeah that's what I mean. Its not actually the topic in general its just the HSC module was......yawn. See q2q would be good, but do you know what's even better? 2141 taster module (AoS).

How hard will Physics get in yr 12?

Why I do elec ------> I've been learning the same stuff about space exploration and what not for like 10 years (its probably the first time I ever got into physics). Needless to say HSC module did not have the depth it should have so it was indeed....yawn. There's a lot better stuff about...

    2014 Fifa World Cup thread

Yes you can. And honestly if the referee blows the whistle to award the penalty after the ball is already in the net then he may as well change his decision to a goal (if that's what happened sorry I didn't watch the game). A referee has until the play is restarted to change a decision...

How hard will Physics get in yr 12?

I'm disappointed that other than basics of EMR, the world communicates is not needed for much reference in anything else. Honestly that was one of my favourite topics and I reckon the doppler effect should have been introduced a bit more HSC too (the calculations and stuff are not that...

    Textbooks at UNSW.

So I had a course which the lecturer said "don't worry you will definitely not need the textbook" and in the end the textbook was a good investment because I understood lots of things due to it and was really clear especially when I was lost while doing my assignments.

How hard will Physics get in yr 12?

Honestly prelim course was much better in that there was less to rote. But stuff in HSC course was more interesting.

    2014 Fifa World Cup thread

Did the ref have his hands out while it happened? If so then he signalled advantage.

How hard will Physics get in yr 12?

Well luckily in HSC you won't need moving about too much (just the equations of motion you will need). Waves is something you will most likely want to be ok-ish at. Cosmic engine you'll also need to be ok with. Electricity in the home you should be familiar a little, but its not too...

    Weird trig discrepancy?

Those square roots look so cool (but a bit confusing). AD to the rescue :p If you look carefully you should get something like this: \frac{2tan(x)}{1- tan^2(x)} - \frac{1}{tan(x)} = 0 So when you multiply by tan(x), how do we know you aren't multiplying by zero or infinity here? If...

    Sydney Swans Vs Port Adelaide

My coach missed us play a really great game because he was watching this game. I guess it must have been worth it.

Ahh yeah fair enough. Would be very good for a first car actually.

Petition - ATAR Should Not Affect University Options

Well every year UNSW alone gets about 8-10k people a year.

Well I've learnt Verilog and that's pretty neat.

    De Moivre's theorem

Because the fact that HSC uses cis notation is why OP actually did get confused. If it was taught in HSC to use: e^{i\theta} notation then not as many students would get the misconceptions that cis notation can come along with (note OP's misconception). So its much more understandable as...
