Girls & Guys: how much do you weigh?

Huehuehue lost another 8 on top since then. Knocked down to less than 70 now. Only 10 more to go and I'll be the agile warrior I've always wanted to be and then I can jump up to pretty much anywhere and climb anywhere.

    Hsc 2013 q

What happens is that we have the following relative to the same reference frame as each other: a_{ball} = a_{train} This occurs as we have two forces acting here, both of equal magnitude but opposite direction. One force is the Tension in the string acting on the ball and the other force is...

Am I allowed to say this?

Yeah pretty sure everywhere says that the existence of an aether is not important and useless as of our knowledge. Saying whether it exists or not is a bit sketchy but its assumed to not exist. But yeah, for HSC, I think both are alright to say.

    Need help

Umm you need a minimum of at least 0.7 V to even light up the LED. Ideally, use something around 3 V. What I suggest is, glue some magnets to a cage like structure (can be anything cylindrical with your crank on the end of it to spin it) then have about 200 loops of wire that is always...

Post Your 2015 Sem 1 Timetable

I have absolutely no idea what 4th course to do next sem. Might have to do gen ed :/ Either way, I see the timetable I have being really crappy. 5 hour gaps on monday, hopefully the 4th course can fill up that gap lol otherwise my timetable is ruined.

Ideas Required Please! (Engineers, Hobbyists alike)!!!

Ok so you want to make a hand crank generator hmm. Pretty damn hard to make a proper one that will work, but get a few circular magnets, mount them on a plastic piping, mount that onto a turning wheel and have a stick of wiring in the middle between the magnets. Also what are you going to do...

    UNSW engineering courses?

Oh wow the posts in this thread are amazingly useless. There's some info on a similar topic in here. http://community.boredofstudies.org/585/engineering/327616/electrical-engineering.html Renewable Energy engineering is good mix of electrical engineering, physics and mechanical engineering...

Hertz' experiment: AC or DC power source?

DC does not oscillate at all. The results are due to effects of induction in motors, hence why you get sinusoidal shapes. _________________________________ Ok so Hertz did use a DC source. He uses the induction coil as an inductor which produces an emf. Inductors by nature will attempt to...

Any way e-mail me if you like. I'll go now. Only have 3 hours sllep in past 50 hours. Soz for typos. Just dereference them and I'll change the value they point to later. Inb4 all here are java nubs.

Even better idea. Don't use transistors. Use switches. Use leds. Use a breadboard. Make a 4 bit binary adder circuit. Use your battery. Done . Won't take you more than two hours to make.

Give me a few days to get back to you with a full response. On portable device now. It worries me that quite a few people suggest buying random chemicals and doing as such. Honestly 5V is plenty for any led or pcb. In terms of pcb you need to be able to use the right cad and get an order from a...

Hey all. Great day today nice meeting a lot of new faces and also some of the old ones. Hope you all took a lot of experience these exams. I sat a final exam last semester where students getting over 95 in the course struggled to get about 45/60% raw in the final for the course. Hopefully you...

That's making your code longer to compile and run because you are using more memory for it before it all gets destroyed. Now imagine you did this using a set of linked lists or pointers. Imagine the amount of malloc you would need to make and free. It would be too big to do. So its better off...

Easy coding spoiler: Tbh coding it is not too hard. Set a 6 digit array, make a loop, make a value counter so that the counter adds up the contents of each array and the previous answer stored and now store this new value and keep the loop going until you get to the guard of the increments of...
