Post Your 2015 Sem 1 Timetable

Other than the back to back tutorials on Monday you have a good timetable. I recommend not having back to back tutorials for reasons I mentioned before. Also, they are a medium (4 minute walk) distance away from each other. What are you going to do in that 5 hour gap? I really would not...

Post Your 2015 Sem 1 Timetable

http://snag.gy/i4jCa.jpg If Squar3 was doing my courses, he would probably move those two tutes to Monday and Friday and say he has a 2 day timetable. Though I'll be in 5 days a week most likely. Possibly 4, but most likely 5. Also, Friday afternoon labs are the best. Unwind the whole week...

    Request to waive prerequisites

Apply with that document. I would say that some courses you will find it extremely difficult to waive into this way. However, you still have to remember that you have to obtain credit for MATH1141, MATH1241 and MATH1081 equivalents which you might/might not have done previously. If you can't...

What if a course isn't available?

Your school should have an academic plan for you to follow with your program. Generally, as long as you pass everything and don't have to repeat or transfer, you should be good to complete your program when following the advised academic plan.

That is NOT a clash. ENGG1000 clashes with itself and it has not been fixed for a few years now (it is a glitch for semester one ENGG1000). Your maths tutorial is only one hour long, so it does not clash with ENGG1000 whatsoever. I highly recommend not putting a class after ENGG1000 though...

    Hazard Perception Test (Green P's)

Let us know how you go and you can tell everyone else that it is pretty much exactly the same haha.

    Questions about February Rounds.

Yes and yes. Do this. Order your preferences in the manner which you want to do them the most. Accept the offer you have now, then wait to see if you get offers in later rounds. If you are unsuccessful in later rounds, at least you have your current offer that you have been accepted into. Then...

HELP I accepted an offer but would like to change my dual degree!?!??!

You might be able to call up and get it changed if there are some vacancies. Otherwise, just apply for an internal transfer every few weeks until you get it :)

    Hazard Perception Test (Green P's)

I think like 95% are as claimed by the site, if not 100%. If you get one in the test that you haven't done in practice before, most likely the question is from that site except it just never popped up for you before (I did the practice like 50 times and yet there were a few questions which I...

    Hazard Perception Test (Green P's)

http://mylicence.sa.gov.au/hazard-perception-test Do that like 50 times before you go in. Not all of them will pop up there. Most will but you might be unfortunate enough to get a few random ones you haven't seen before on the day.

    Job prospects for chemical engineering

Generally, yes. However it depends on what is completed in the Industrial Engineering program (there are various programs for this) as it might have transferable knowledge.

    Job prospects for chemical engineering

I originally phrased it badly. By later on I meant as in rather than a Chemical Engineering role they go into Process Engineering or Industrial Chemistry most of the time.

    Job prospects for chemical engineering

Just look one year back. Everything dropped by about 10% for full time employment this year for Engineering. Around 5% more have gone into part time or casual work (understandable because training an Engineer costs a company a lot of money) and around 5% more have just been unable to find any...

    Job prospects for chemical engineering

Nah usually Process Engineering and Industrial Chemistry are the roles many Chemical Engineers obtain later on.

Are there jobs in the biomedical engineering industry?

I have heard in the past that not many jobs are available in Biomedical Engineering itself. However I am not too sure if this is hearsay or actual truth. It makes sense to me why there wouldn't be a large industry in it, but still not too sure. Also, with the masters, I think it is a good...

    Job prospects for chemical engineering

This. If you look at GradStats, unsurprisingly Chemical Engineering job availabilities are just a bit larger than Aeronautical Engineering job availabilities.

    This tricky question!

The scientist experiences a force which allows him to accelerate with the trolley (this force comes from the scientists friction against the trolley from his feet). The ball in his hand also experiences this force. Once the ball is dropped, the only force acting on it is that of gravity. Hence...

What module you guys up to?

Ideally you should have completely finished Space at the least by now. You could have finished Space and moved on to Motors and Generators during the summer too (what I did back for my HSC).

    UNSW Chit Chat Thread

Re: UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2015. Yes you can get it on the same day. They told me it might take an hour or so to process, but I got my student ID 30 minutes later at FM Assist. Also, tell FM Assist that you just got a name change. That way if you need to wait, then they'll tell you to wait...
