    Business Studies Vs Economics

Good luck fitting all that into a degree haha. You should probably check if there are elements of comp science in eng, there might be.

    Business Studies Vs Economics

Hopefully someone doing a similar degree can help you out, I have absolutely no idea. Pretty much all eng courses involve phys, but what kind of computing are you hoping to do?

    Business Studies Vs Economics

There is a Commerce/Eng degree at UNSW - not sure about usyd. I'm pretty sure commerce combines with almost anything.

    Business Studies Vs Economics

Commerce is probably your best bet. You can do lots of combined degrees with commerce, too.

    Business Studies Vs Economics

I think there is BBusiness (at some unis, UTS came up in a google search) which probs is the closest to business studies, then BEconomics, with BCom being a mixture of both? I'm just guessing here lol

    Business Studies Vs Economics

I was wrong, looking at https://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2013/3502.html it looks like it covers both.

    Business Studies Vs Economics

Fair point, was just answering the OPs question re personal opinions. Edit: I'd imagine it is more business but that's just a guess.

    Business Studies Vs Economics

It is. The eco course is pretty interesting, but I'm not sure how it compares with business studies since my school doesn't offer it.

    Business Studies Vs Economics

You learn a lot of the business studies course in eco, but not vice versa. The economics course deals with things on a larger scale. Also keep in mind the economics cohort is smaller (afaik).

4 period from 6 period days

We've got 7 periods per day. 4 would be torture.

Song as related text, yay or nay?

Wouldn't recommend it but then again someone at my school did 'The Journey' (a video game) for a related text in the prelim course... He got destroyed needless to say.

    How to succeed in economics?

So I've said this in every thread I've replied to so far, but in terms of text books, I swear by Riley. I personally find the Dixon book (which your school probs uses) good for a basic summary but for essays, Riley's content is in-depth with plenty of stats. That's the other thing - economics...

    Do I have enough time?

Of course you do. Set your mind to it and you'll manage; plus, having a good holiday for a couple of weeks should mean you're nice and ready to start working. Personally I find a bit of a deadline makes me work better, but that might just be me. Don't get too stressed - it is only January in...

    Rba

Kiwi is right. The cash rate does influence consumer loans, but not directly. Since banks pay more for overnight loans from the RBA when the cash rate rises, they raise their prices too - just like a business would raise their prices if their overheads increase. , Most banks pass on...

Any tips for preparing for Year 11?

For Economics, most schools use Dixon but getting the Riley is seriously worthwhile, especially if you often have issues bulking up your essays with stats/good explanations. Plus, a 2nd workbook is excellent for last minute revision. For English, if you already know the texts, the best thing...

    Need some tips please.

Also be sure to ask your teachers how you can improve - they've read your work, and read the rest of your cohort's work, so know exactly where you need to focus in terms of your writing. IMO 1 essay a week would kill me; I'd say write maybe 1 essay a week for a month before your exams, in...

    Need some tips please.

You've probably heard this from every man and his dog but READ. I remember my Year 10 teacher giving me a handout with study tips, and over the 5 pages all it said was READ!. It seriously works, my worst subject used to be English but now it is one of my best. Of course, if you don't know...

    Subject selection help

Re: "Can I get a decent ATAR with these subjects?" Yeah, if you aren't confident you can do well in it then there isn't a reason to continue - unless you enjoy the subject. I dropped music in year 9 so not sure how the music I/II courses work. I think you'd be fine with 10 units looking at...
