    General Thoughts: Physics

overall a comparatively easy paper compared to past years. some trippy parts, but nothing that was too bad. i somehow made some stupid calculation error in q18 which lead to me making a silly mistake, and i can't believe i defined parsec wrong... LOL. was not thinking at that part of the test. i...

what school do you go to? i'm curious.

    Erm... estimate your mark ...

lol let's be reasonable, if you got anything below 83 for the nsb 2011 trial you probably shouldn't be going to the school. that was probably one of the easiest 3u trials i've done. same goes for 4u. also mate don't complain - i gotta compete with 166 for 3u and 99 for 4u, and at sydney boys...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 1

I did haha. One dude used induction in my grade and got it. All you do is let x=-1,.subtract the resultant equation from the one in ii, and wallah. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

Paper was okay. I know a lot if people who struggled with it though. It was a lot like 4u in that there were many harder to get marks in the middle of the paper. I think I got 82 for this one. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

    Reflection Theory

oh right my bad i used this result for part ii, not i haha. in i i equated the tans of the angles to show that they were equal, and then said in ii that altitude which bisects the base means the triangle is isosceles, so PR=SP

how much do you think you got?

going into the exam, probably yeah. but granted, the questions in the exam were really odd and unlike anything i had ever seen before, especially some (8c,d, some parts of 4 and 5). not to mention, there were so many questions which annoyed me in that so much working was required for so little...

    Reflection Theory

yeah this, i did it using this method. i think i was lucky in that i remembered what the reflection property was, they rarely ask for those obscure dot points.

so who remembered to put open circles on their graph in 3ai? i know i certainly did :D

how much do you think you got?

in worst case scenario 95/120, but more likely to be something like 103 or thereabouts.

Also guys? The circular motion question worked out perfectly - you needed to use your diagram well. It was definitely theta and not 90-theta. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 2

I thought the paper was challenging. Q7 was a massive joke haha. Also q6 resisted integration was just dicks for 3 marks. I loved when I got the integration reduction in q8 haha. anyone else find q4/5 a bit harder than normal? Hmmmm. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
