ANU vs UNSW vs USYD vs Melbourne vs Macquarie finance/commerce?

Re: ANU vs UNSW vs USYD vs Melbourne vs Macquarie for finance/commerce? Since you're aiming to go back to Asia to work, I'd say UNSW. We have strong links with firms all over the Asian region. Also and I mean no disrespect with this comment, but you'll fit in more in UNSW I think, because of...

    Accounting Job Prospects?

With me, the way I see it is... If you're planning to do straight out commerce, grab any cadetship when you have the chance. If you're planning to do a combined degree (e.g. Comm/Law, Comm/Science), then you shouldn't do a cadetship.

    Help...Please?

If you are bothered, you could contact the business. But don't put all that effort into some stupid High School Assessment. Do a large business which publishes an Annual Report, it should have most things you need. As for everything else, if you can't find it, just fudge it.

    INDUSTRIES ; BUTCHERY ; which one ?

It would be the tertiary sector, however it is not domestic, so you wouldn't classify it under the quinary sector.

LAW advice, prequisites, ATAR requirements ect.

He's referring to law degrees from less prestigious universities. Most top-tier firms don't regard law degrees from places such as Macquarie, UWS or even UTS as very high and most recruits are from USYD/UNSW (I'm not saying that they're bad or anything, that's just how these firms work).

    Semester 2 - Should I do FINS1612 with FINS1613

Hey guys, I'm currently a first year commerce/law student, and I was wondering whether I should do FINS1612 and FINS1613 next semester. I'm leaning towards doing a finance major and apparently it's easier if you do both subjects simultaneously. Also next semester I have to do torts and MGMT...

I ended up with 95. However I knew when I walked out of the exam, that I stuffed up the extended response (as in, I didn't answer the question properly).

If you don't get a ATAR you expect can you repeat HSC?

I disagree, it really depends how far behind you are. Let's say you wanted to get into vet science and you only got in the 70s, no point hoping for a transfer, because they still look at your ATAR (especially in areas like law and commerce). Also why would you just repeat 2 units of HSC then...

But Sir, I don't want to do Medical Physics!

Well in comparison it's more difficult. Most popular would be Quanta to Quarks I think. But Medical Physics is mainly theory, I think from memory - there's only two formulas (Acoustic Impedance and Density) - and they're all straightforward.

But Sir, I don't want to do Medical Physics!

Medical Physics is piss easy. Whether it is interesting or not really depends on the individual though.

    Mandarin vs Japanese

For practicality - Mandarin would be a better choice. Firstly, it is spoken around the world, and yes there are a lot more Mandarin speakers in Australia (so again it'd be more useful, however note that although Mandarin is gaining popularity - Cantonese is still the main lingua franca of a lot...

    Transferring into law

For UNSW, if you get an ATAR over 97 , you only need a WAM of 70 to be guaranteed transfer into law second year. If you get anything below, you need 75+. I'm not sure about USYD. But yeah, my advice would be to enrol in a lower course at USYD or UNSW, and try to transfer first year, because...

Need help with a few finance questions!

    1. Because drawings are generally small withdrawals of cash for minor and usually unexpected or unplanned finances. Hence, most businesses wouldn’t use their assets or liabilities (e.g. loans) to fund these, rather it’d be easier to fund directly from the owner’s capital. 2. Depreciation...

    Assessment Task!!!!

Well classical-scientific is more directive and coercive, and is based on the belief that there's one best way to do the job. In China, a lot of the production is mass-produced and hence efficiency is needed over creativity and consultation. Also, (and this isn't racist - cause I'm also Chinese...
