    i've heard that once you get an interview everyone is equal. So if you're in the top 90 interviews or whatever you're in. And isnt it frustrating that you get 99.65 and could walk into any other course except medicine/dent...so have to go way up north to do it.

    Rural Scheme for UNSW

    In one of the UNSW selection policies that I read, 25% of students have to be from rural areas. There's 146 unbonded places, so 25% is roughly a quarter of that. :P You've got a good chance if you're rural then.

    UMAT Courses

    medentry screwed me over - their section 2 was all about scenario questions, when the actual UMAT was more about reading into the feelings of characters etc. But it did help for sections 1 and 3. If you can afford it, go to both.

    Does watching Scrubs deter you from doing medicine

    I'm just curious, because this show shows how life sucks as an intern/resident. JD said "the average resident earns as much as a waiter" and the characters barely have any spare time. This is also true for Dr. Cox who is a senior doctor but sill unable to do anything outside of the hospital...

    you could have mentioned: -authors credentials (i.e. qualified science teachers) -consistency of info -recency

    Question 19 - Apollo 13/Newton in the Driver's Seat

    newton in drivers seat because he went in a straight line from earth to moon, i.e. first law. No friction and weak gravity, therefore travels in straight line and it reached earth so you know that the law was obeyed you dont need escape velocity etc

    If you did the chem exam you would know that that is all a lie. In chem they were 'supposed' to ask the dot points never asked before, but guess what? all the questions were standard ones asked all the time.

    its not possible to test every single dot point in 4 years since the new hsc. count how many there are 6 mark question on the use of acid in esterification...its a dehydrating agent and catalyst, that question was in our trial for 2 marks. compared to trials HSC is easy, they dont ask...
