is the physics context one that really big orangey-black book? Cause I've got that and it's not too bad.. jacaranda is what my school uses though and I must agree it's really good. covers everything, even stuff you don't need but it helps you understand it.

work in a quiet place where you won't be distracted... then just read over your notes a few times to understand it. once you uderstand it *completely*, THEN make summeries. alot of people just summerize their notes without understanding it and that's where they go wrong.

could someone please tell me what assessment & hsc marks I'll need to get a uai >95? I'm doing these subjects: maths 2u standard english physics chemistry business studies economics If it helps, my school is public and doesn't do that great in the hsc usually :(

I was new to my school too in year 11 and at first it was kind of hard, but you do get used to it. What do you mean by "I don't like the environment?" Is it one of those schools that nobody gives a shit about the hsc?

wait a minute.. if you get those marks in the hsc but screw up (around 70) for the assessments, would you still get 95 uai? In other words, what assessment mark do you need assuming you do well in the hsc? How important are the assesments if you do great in the hsc?

well most people in my grade are competitive, but only to a degree. They're not obsessed with coming 1st. It's the top 30 or so who are REALLY competitive. They're the study freaks who are constantly whining about the next exam and who never share notes or help each other out.

how do you know if you've written enough? I mean, for some dot points it's obvious (like, identify...) but for others I'm not so sure about. I was thinking I should just write as much as possible, but then I realised I'd never remember it all :p

I just finished doing it today... I guess it was okay. Oddly enough, it had nothing on tone, pitch, etc. but just questions asking what they were talking about, and effectiveness of techniques. There was one 10mark question at the end which I really screwed up on because I ran out of time, but...

Ah, I feel sorry for you! But maybe it's better if you repeat the HSC, I mean this sleep problem's going to put you at a big disadvantage IMO, and you're definately not going to fullfill your potential until you get it fixed... is there any way to get it treated sooner? Maybe you could convince...
