    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive Weighed out 1.0 g of fertiliser into a beaker, added dilute hydrochloric acid solution and then stirred. 50.0 mL of 0.350 mol L-1 barium chloride solution was then added. A white precipitate of barium sulfate formed. Washed the precipitate, filtered it, left...

Is the new Fitzpatrick book good?

    Polymerisation of glucose

This is not the recommended way to write the polymerisation process Instead, n(HO–C6H10O4–OH) → H–(O–C6H10O4)n–OH + (n – 1)H2O

How to write the products of a reaction?

Aluminium oxide is impervious to water, so it doesn't react

    HSC Physics Space

Define conservation of momentum briefly, Newton's third law F1=-F2 is appropriate in this case. Let F1=gas propulsion, F2=Force acting on rocket. From F=ma, we know that acc increases as m decreases and F remains constant (for HSC sake). Clearly, momentum is conserved. Forces experienced can be...

urgent Internal ranking & marks question

The bottom cohort will not affect you much (assuming the top 4 are getting a band 6 performance) If they get 80s, then your moderated will likely lie in the mid-80s, and your overall HSC will probably scrape you a band 6 at best

urgent Internal ranking & marks question

The moderation process takes into account the differences between your school assessment marks and re-distributes them in the ranking order (with consideration of the mark differences). Assuming the top 4 gets 90 exam mark and you get 95 exam mark. Your moderated will be roughly ~91 or 2. Then...

Hours spent studying Maths Extension 2

Time means nothing if you don't get shet done Instead of allocating x amount of time to maths, determine what topics, specific concepts, materials etc. you need to gather and complete THIS WEEK A yearly plan almost never works imo, start small and you WILL get to the top gl buddy

    Blackholes....what do you think?

I dont think classical (and perhaps even quantum) physics apply in a region of infinite density, so Einstein's theory can be ruled out, gg

    HSC 2015 MX2 Marathon (archive)

    Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon Let p+2 = a , q+2 =b r+2=c Therefore (p+2) + (q+2) + (r+2) > 3 cuberoot ((P+2)(Q+2)(r+2)) Simplifying: p+q+r > 6 Now p+q+r > 3 cuberoot (pqr) Rearranging, pqr < (P+q+r/3)^3 therefore, pqr < (6/2)^3 pqr < 8 Does this work? Edit: nvm, i see peeps have done this and i...

    wanting a very good atar..

Its alright diana, A LOT of peeps are in the same boat as you, I personally lost motivation up until this time last year (I had no clue what school was about and failed most of my subjects as well). So whilst it's unlikely that you'll ace the HSC in what little time you have left, you can...
