If usyd is really where you want to go then you should still keep it as your first preference, regardless of your uai.

You can't get in with $$$ (if your UAI is that low). I know from experience and I happen to have a good reason with all the proof/evidence why I didn't get the end mark/s I should have. Yet the answer is still always NO. Sorry.

Is it too late to start the HSC for this year? I've done it before (did pretty well too for most of the year) and I know its easy so I'm confident I can catch up...but would anyone let me? I'm actually currently enrolled at tafe for it this year but I haven't turned up yet.......

I only had 1 subject where we were constantly given work we had to do - Ancient History (apart from assessments/study)........I just think some schools/teachers overdo it with the whole homework thing. The homework we got for Ancient in no way helped us for our assessments and for the HSC Exam...

Say you redo the HSC the following year or another year, can you apply for EAS based on your disadvantage/s of the previous/first year? NOTE: I never applied for EAS in '06 as it wouldnt have helped one bit.

Sure it's possible to get 100% in exams, pretty hard to do it for ALL. I have done it in the past for some. I like your attitude. You should study/work like your trying to get 100% BUT don't get so intent on achieving this that you'll beat yourself up for falling short. Really, high 90's ain't...
