    Study notes how many pages?

i wouldnt worry about having a set amount. some of my friends had 50+ pages, but i think i had <5 for each subject...i basically worked from the dot points in the syllabus, and i figured the less pages i had, the more i could read over them.

    Survey for uni

So, yes, if this is in the wrong spot sorry, feel free to move it! IN 2007 THE NSW GOVERNMENT INTRODUCED LEGISLATION THAT RESTRICTS FIRST YEAR PROVISIONAL (P1) DRIVERS, UNDER THE AGE OF 25 FROM TRANSPORTING MORE THAN ONE PASSENGER UNDER THE AGE OF 21 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11PM AND 5AM...

Saudi Cleric urges Muslim women to cover all but one eye

So i just looked up hijab on wikipedia...i know that at times i can be unreliable, anyway this is what it says: "Any one who rejects the principle of hijab in Iran is an apostate and the punishment for an apostate under Islamic law is death. The Taliban's Islamic Emirate required women to...

Okay. Am I wrong to ditch college for money.

If it's your buisness couldn't you do both? Also nutting, what's wrong with biology? I'm sure that that could bring about a large sum of money, especially if you move towards fields of conservation which are rising. And I'm also quite certain that any of the other fields you have listed could...

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

I did both of these and i can tell you they arent easy. Provided general maths may not be full of complex 'mathematical' equations, but it is hard in its own right. And as for biology it can be considered one of the harder sciences in the fact the chem and physics are simply the same equations...

Should I defer for one year instead of choosing something i might regret?

Well your hsc is not till next year, so there is still plenty of time to think, but if you are not certain come this time next year, working is a good idea, not only will you save a lot of money, but it may also give you a motivation to do something in particular at uni

    Student loans

This is this case, but when you think about it only being able to earn 220/fortnight w/o losing any isnt much at all. It means you can only work like 7hrs/week (provided you earn ~15/hr). So in the end centrelink = sucky

    Subjects for uni?

I do science at uni (biology as the major) and only did general maths, bio and chem in the hsc. I guess depending on the uni, but i know at wollongong, at some stage (preferbly ur first session) you do math151, which is essentially hsc level maths, and as for chem the whole hsc course was...

Advice wanted! Does anybody do any of the following courses?

I dont do either of those but my best friend started a B jounralism last year and transferred this year into the BCM majoring in Journo...She personally didnt like the journalism course because there was a lot of theory telling you how to write, and she said they werent as fun as she thought it...

uni grades...how do you improve 'em?

Dont let a P get to you. It is better than a F...and it is assumed that arts is 'easy' to do well in, but a lot of work is still needed to do well in it. Its just assumed its easy because there are minimal contact hours, but the content is still hard if u dont know it. which you generally dont...

difference between combined and double dgree?

With the double you graduate with both degrees on the same day, not one after 3 years and the other after another 2 for instance.

got 1 week to next exam. how do you prepare?

I would think about studying for the week, and realise the day before the exam. I would then spend maybe 3 hours looking over it, go on msn/facebook/myspace and the go to sleep and wait for the exam. It worked with the hsc and it works now.

    What's first year worth?

As is my understanding, every subject counts. you obviously need to pass all your courses to be able to graduate with a pass, but also you will find some subjects need prereqs so once again you need to pass. all in all tho i would say if u slack off in first 3 years, it will be extremely hard to...

    Adding a BSc

As in doing a double degree? If so, it will probably be easier to add this on in your second year, otherwise im assuming you wouldjust do a normal BSc after you graduate from ur first degree. Not 100% tho, someone else may be more helpful

    balancing HSC and job

Yeah no truth to this. I would like to see the studies that prove this. ALmost all my friends worked. We all did fine. When you get to uni as well, people (generally speaking) work more than 10 hours a week. Their studies are fine. Its called setting a study routine. You just work around when...

    balancing HSC and job

I dont know why everyone worries so much about working. I worked roughly 15+ hours/week all of year 12, and worked during the hsc as well. You need sometime to break up the study and earn some money. And to those who say u need to spend time with friends, believe it or not, you actually make...
