Does every subject of equal credit point value over all 4 years contribute equally to my degree, or can I slack off for the first 3 years and just pull it together for the final year?

As is my understanding, every subject counts. you obviously need to pass all your courses to be able to graduate with a pass, but also you will find some subjects need prereqs so once again you need to pass. all in all tho i would say if u slack off in first 3 years, it will be extremely hard to get by in the 4th year

Depends on the course/faculty. Alot of engineering courses i know of have 1st year worth 1/4 of 4th year work, 2nd year worth 1/2 of 4th year work and 3rd year being worth 3/4 of 4th year work.

The IT faculty at usyd says that they only count the 3rd year subjects when you apply for honors or something like that.
