    Does God exist?

Then there is nothing to question ... you're already on the right path :)

    Does God exist?

Can I ask what belief it is that you have never questioned? It is hard to respond when I'm not sure what I'm responding to.

    Does God exist?

Just finished watching The Dictator with Sacha Baron Cohen. Hilarious. "Admiral General, welcome to New York City. And while you're here, I highly recommend a visit to the Empire State Building, before you or one of your cousins takes it down." "So ... is it a boy ... or an abortion" "I...

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon It would be 12!/(5!6!). It is the same as counting the 12 letter words formed from one A, 5 Cs and 6 Ds.

    Full marks for working out.

Actually, it IS sometimes true. The HSC markers decide on this before marking, based on the marks allocated and their assessment of what skills are being tested. But more often than not, it is not the case.

    HSC 2015 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon The geometrical solution is much easier. The vectors representing 1-z and 1+z are perpendicular (diagonals of a rhombus), meaning their quotient has an argument of (+/-)pi/2, meaning the quotient is purely imaginary.

How do we solve with ratios?

I don't think it is a ratio. "solve for x:" means "solve for x such that". If it was a ratio, it would not be possible to solve exactly. I think √ has interpreted it correctly.

Modern history vs legal studies Decision ASAP

As I said, scaling is all I have to offer. I teach maths and have little idea about the content and work involved in these subjects.

Modern history vs legal studies Decision ASAP

All I have to offer is scaling. I will not mention marks, because most year 11s don't have a feel for final HSC marks at this stage. Instead, here is a comparison between the percentile (the percentage of the state you beat in each subject) and the ATAR you would get if each of your other...

Yes, but I wouldn't expect he would have 30 minute periods. The point is ... something is wrong with that figure of 8 periods per week.

When am I able to drop a subject?

http://ace.bos.nsw.edu.au/ace-8068 Summarising: You can drop most subjects any time before your HSC exam. The exception is Ext 2 Maths, which can't be dropped after your school has submitted your assessment marks. Even then, you can't drop if your school has no way of assessing you for 2 unit...

    HSC 2015 Maths Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 2U Marathon Isn't the point of these marathon threads for HSC students to answer the questions, and for teachers to jump in only when there is an issue with the question, when a student has made an incorrect attempt at the question, or after a couple of days when no-one has been...
